in B5 while in the Buzztv app press menu, settings, configurations, toggle on where it says start live tv on boot.

I guess factory reset your box then try again and see if that helps. 

also, from Home Screen go to settings, Apps, click on Buzz Tv 5, then scroll down to permissions, and make sure you allow for files.

while watching live tv press menu, then PVR, then PVR options, and see what's your recording storage location?

why not post in P6 section?

P6 has two app buzz5 and buzz6.

for buzz6 while in the app press menu, settings, configuration, other settings, and change stat live tv on boot to ON.

for buzz5 while in the app press menu, settings, configurations, toggle on where it says start live tv on boot.

make sure you are using the HDMI cable that came with it. if yes. then reseat cable on both ends and also try a different hdmi port on your tv if possible.

I usually keep them OFF too but some times for testing im keeping them ON so thats where I ended up finding wired behavior.

Hello, I am encountering a somewhat unusual situation. While it is not a major issue, I thought it prudent to report it in case others have experienced the same. I have all my devices positioned close to each other, approximately one foot apart. No device other than the X5 SS appears to be causing my P6 to power on unexpectedly. I observed that when I disconnect the power from my X5 SS, the P6 remains in standby mode with a red light. However, if I connect the X5 SS and leave both devices in standby mode, the P6 intermittently powers on with a green light for no apparent reason. I have removed other devices and repositioned them without any issues; the interference occurs only when the X5 SS is plugged in, causing the P6 to activate without any remote control interaction. Thank you.

so it was still not updating then I started to click everywhere in buzztv app and settings and finally as soon I hit my wifi and message popped up saying update is available. so not sure if its my wifi or whatever but it finally updated now

Rinse and repeat a few times.  So I left it powered on for about 2hrs, but got no auto popup.. Then I tried again to check if there was an update manually again, and this time it told me there was NOT.  Which reminded me of the last time where it was saying yes, yes and then after a while it said no.   So once it said there was no update, I rebooted the box, and after it rebooted, within 2 minutes I got an automatic popup, which worked fine.  So it is a bit picky, but eventually works.

 

 

 

have done all this bud and no luck. its doing just like last time and it wants to take its sweet time but im ok with it as its my little cute baby

just left ON all night and nothing. gave a reboot and still nothing now so left him alone

still no go for me yet. its doing just like the last time it did lol

you did not get recovery screen? if possible try a different power supply to see if that helps and if its still under warranty I would contact buzztv support.

not sure if the power supply was disconnected and if yes make sure using original power supply. also, try a different outlet if possible. try to disconnect all external devices like usb, or external drives and swap hdmi cable. if still nothing then factory reset using AV hole with tooth pick.

all remote controls from buzz have a simple functions. no need to touch any other buttons. however, you can buy BT-400 if you don't have one.

For my mom I have CEC enabled on X5 using BT 200 and one power button turns on both box and tv. Then it goes to live tv to favorite channel list. all she presses channel up and down and volume up and down period.

btw, they both offer AV1 support but rock chip has better open source support.

its rockchip not amlogic so you won't see that here but I maybe wrong.

The fact that it now says no update is a good sign.  For me it was cycling with the failed update over and over.. And then when it finally said no update, is when I left it 2-3 hours more, checked one more time, and then rebooted and it prompted like normal.

 

fortunately next morning it popped and went through fine without factory reset.
