did you try reboot? also try to switch media player and see if that helps. i had little similar to one time but when I switch media player did help me but then I switched back and was not able to reproduce. not sure what was it but you can try and let us know.
after update you might have to give few reboot before it will kick in latest update. recently HD5 I reset for friend and was not updating to latest buzz app version. after few try it kicked in. maybe you can try that too.
I always stay on top of it to keep eye on it to see whats happening the time of update/installation. so when nothing happens for sometime I keep work on my pc/phone patiently until picture comes on. so keep something to keep you distracted during installation process.
I never used it and maybe wrong but I think this is for schedule recording once box wake up for recording then after finish recording it will either go to suspend mode or just continue to play.

you can switch from live tv press menu, settings, configuration, live tv and select player
no harassment but shame on you that you know how to run your network and people dont. is that what you mean right? shame on you bud and on your statement.
I rather see whats happening during the connection so I can tell if server is unable to reach or whats happening. it helps me to see if server is down or slow connection response from server...etc during the connection.
you mean you dont want tv service at boot up? if yes then go to menu while watching tv, press menu, settings, configurations and turn off boot at startup.
if not then thats how apps connect to server and gets you a tv.
