Typically they are 110/220 and all you need is a plug converter with is super cheap. But they are always printed on the units in pretty fine print so you can easily check. It probably says input 110-240V. The Classic however conveniently uses USB-C as power. So worst case it is simple enough to just get a basic USB-C power supply locally and use that to avoid using any adapters.

**NEW** L1 Firmware + Buzz 6 App Update V1.0.143 - April 10th, 2025
Emporium replied to allaboutbuzz's topic in Linux Player
tried it same way I did ? I struggled with updates on the L1 in the past, and I do it this way now, and seems to work for me. Turn it on.. Check for updates manually through the settings screen. Then leave it on for an hour. After an hour, reboot it.. Got back into settings screen and check for updates gain. This is the only way it works for me. If I don't go through the manual check and waiting after checking, it has not automatically prompted me for an available update for quite a while now. -
**NEW** L1 Firmware + Buzz 6 App Update V1.0.143 - April 10th, 2025
Emporium replied to allaboutbuzz's topic in Linux Player
I left it for 2hrs and got nothing.. Then I rebooted, nothing. Then went and selected manual check for updates (it said nothing available). Left it for an hour, then rebooted and went back again to manually check for updates again and then it found it. I did it like that the last few times also. I suspect that possibly when I Click on "check for updates" the first time, it trigger the task which check the current download and tells me I am up to date, but actually then goes off, finds the latest update and downloads it in the background (hence why I left it for an hour). Then when I reboot, and go back and check for updates, it does the same, but this time, since there is a download which is newer than what is installed, it actually prompts me to install it. I could be out to left field (wouldn't be the first time) but so far the last 2 or 3 updates, this is what I've been dong and it seems to work for me. -
Power station Remote BT-500 Smart Voice not compatible with Vizio tv
Emporium replied to smiley2069's topic in PowerStation
You'd be lucky enough if the Vizio remote does not interfere with the buzz box. They use some of the same IR codes for their remotes, that buzz uses also. The power button on many vizio remotes is some "number" on the buzz remote. And what did you expect the remote to do to your Vizio box. It is paired to the Buzz Box, and I never saw anywhere that any voice controls are expected to work on the TV. Hell there is even a comment that the voice controls don't even work from the LiveTV/VOD app. It's pretty much only on the home screen. -
I hope you did not buy the Powerstation primarily for netflix. To use netflix on any non netflix-certified box (not BuzzTV uniquely), you will need to use the mouse cursor control on the remote. It is not typically remote friendly from what I know. Unless something has changed specifically on the Powerstation.

BuzzTV6 Application: Wishlist for New Features and Enhancements
Emporium replied to Stugots's topic in PowerStation
As mentioned. That option has been on buzz boxes for ages. Long Press the "back/last ch" button and it should bring up a list. On BuzzTV 5, I think it was 20 last stations.. On the Powerstation (BuzzTV 6), it looks like it is a LOT longer than that (I have about 50 of them in my list) Very handy when switching between 3 or more channels. -
Is you HDMI-CEC enabled on the Powerstation ? From Home screen, go to Settings (Gear icon on the top)->device preferences->display and sound->HDMI-CEC. As a test, turn all of the options in there OFF, to avoid having the TV or the box controlling each other (let them be their own boss )

I'm glad you found your issue, which is exactly what I recommend in my FIRST reply. So I did provide an idea. But that still does not change the fact that the problem (even the way you initially described it), has nothing to do with BUZZTV 5. There are different categories in the forum for a reason. BuzzTV 5 is the APP that runs on your BuzzTV Box, after the box has already booted (there is a distinction). It has nothing to do with whatever resolution your box boots up into. And after all these replies, worst part is, we still don't know what specific hardware (box model) this was And the issue should have been posted in the hardware section for that specific model of box you have.

If in terms of template you mean a backup of every 3rd party app, NO. IF you mean in terms of backing up the BuzzTV servers, settings and favorites, then Yes. For your DVR request, the answer is NO. There is always this: https://stbtalk.com/topic/14151-buzztv6-application-wishlist-for-new-features-and-enhancements/

You probably can, but I think that would be a complete waste, and just adding wear and tear on the nvme connector unnecessarily. If you plan to move the drive back and forth, then why not just use a USB key instead of an nvme drive ? nvme drives are not designed to be plugged and unplugged mechanically frequently. I personally just use a file manager (in my case, I like Solid explorer, but any one you like should work), and I transfer files to/from by buzz boxes and my NAS using the network connection. My P6 is wired and so is my NAS, so it's quite simple. Keep in mind that names of recordings are not always obvious to be able to identify them.
-
This is the way I have been doing it for years (and on my older boxes). Honestly didn't even realize it was added in the utilities oops.
-
What do you mean your power options are set to LiveTV ? I don't get it. BTW: What type of TV do you have ? The Remote of some 3rd tier TVs, uses the same IR codes as the Buzz (example: VIZIO TVs). So some users with VIZIO TVs, when they use their remote on their TVs, it actually changes the Channels on the buzz box even if the input is not set to the buzztv So when they switch to the buzztv, the box is at some random channel.
-
Software you can see when you are in LiveTV and press menu, it should be on bottom of the menu. 5.0.xxx Do you have your box set for shutdown, suspend, or do you use HDMI-CEC to turn on/off with TV ? I personally prefer shutdown. May take an extra minute to boot up, but it is a clean boot each and every time. What nbs says is exactly what I have on all my buzz boxes also. IF I am watching a channel which is in my favorites.. Then I shutdown. Then turn box back on again, it will be on that same channel, and if I hit guide, I will see the guide for favorites. Let's try this as a test. Turn on TV. Turn on the B5. Go to a channel in your favorites. Press CH+ a d few times to go through some of your channels which are in your favorites. Check if Guide brings up favorites. If so, select a channel and change to a channel. OK, not you know that guide is on your favorites, and CH+/CH- cycles through your favorites. Now, hit the power button on the B5 box alone to turn it off (leave the TV on) . Once it is off, go ahead and power it back on. Do you see the buzz animated logo, or does it power up immediately ? OK, go into LiveTV. Then hit the Guide button (or technically you can just hit the guide button from the home screen). Are you on favorites or all ? I tried it on 3 of my boxes and I am always on favorites (since that was the last group I was in).

If there was, it would have been announced and deployed during one of the updates.
-
WHAT was the solution ? This STILL has nothing to do with BuzzTV 5 app. If it had anything to do with something it may be the firmware on your box. BuzzTV 5 is the app which has nothing to do with the resolution the box defaults to.
-
There is a significant speed difference, since the B5 is the entry level "5" series box. The Classic, X5 and U5 use the same CPU which is significantly faster, and they have more internal RAM, which will make them faster overall. The U5 also adds an internal slot for a 2.5" drive for recordings, which is nice, so you don't need any external USB sticks or drives. However they all run the same software (Buzz TV 5). So you will not see a difference in VOD, EPG or anything else. other than "possibly" how quickly they load/refresh. And reason I say possibly, is because the slowness may be directly from the server. Sounds to me, that there are instabilities with the service you are using.

If you can not test it WITHOUT kodi, then there is no way to confirm if the problem is KODI on android 13, kodi codec issues, the plugin on Android 13, or something on the P6. Buzz does not provide support for 3rd party apps, unless the issues is actually specific to the Buzz box or BuzzTV app itself. If you had download the Mp4 file locally, you can have ran more tests to be able to pinpoint what is causing the issue.

Sorry, I don't hear a screeching sound.. I hear what sounds like a "marching" sound. Like we are supposed to know if that is a normal movie intro ? Maybe a roaring tiger soon will be considered abnormal also during an intro Like I mentioned earlier, have you TRIED playing the same movie with something like VLC, MX Player, HB Player, etc.. ? Could just be a codec issue with Kodi. Keep in mind that your 4900 runs on Android 9, and the P6 is Android 13. So Kodi surely uses different logic on which codecs take priority. I have not used Kodi in nearly a decade (shortly after it got renamed from xbmc), so it is anything BUT a reference. Try removing certain aspects from the equation by trying different players.
-
Oh it plays, but if it plays, what's the issue ?
-
Don't know what you are trying to show in the video above. Does the movie play at all on the P6 ? Like do you have video, but the Audio is not recognized or passthru ? Or does the video give an error when you try to play it ? Have you tried playing it with any other video player, like VLC ? Just trying to understand why you assume it is a truehd issue, since that is just audio codec.
-
I do not have such an issue. What remote are you using ? A little more info would help. If it is the standard BT250 that came with the Classic, then there is obviously something wrong with the remote. If it is paired (Bluetooth) try to unpair/forget it, and re-pair it. When you unpair it (before re-pairing it), can you try with just IR and see if the same persists ?
-
What does this have to do with BuzzTV 2. The B5 comes with BuzzTV 5. What firmware and software version is the box running ? What type of server sub ? MAC, XC or M3U ? MAC - you just need the URL (and make sure no typos, or extra spaces) - since you provide the SERVER ID (top right) to your provider (starts with 00:1A:79.. - you do not use the actual MAC printed under the box - you give this SERVER ID) XC - you need URL, Username and a password M3U you need the full URL string which encodes your username/password in the URL, and you MAY need a second URL for EPG.

Next time, you can just look and add it to the "wishlist" instead of creating a new thread for each wish like everyone else. https://stbtalk.com/topic/14151-buzztv6-application-wishlist-for-new-features-and-enhancements/page/7/

https://stbtalk.com/topic/300-factory-reset-hard-reset-xr4500-xrs4500/ Different box, same procedure, same location (basically in the back of the A/V port). Use a toothpick or something, and you will feel a click when you enter it into the A/V hold. Hold it and plug it in while holding it. I personally prefer a snipped off Qtip (instead of a toothpick), more sturdy, and the perfect thickness.

Problem is that many of these external apps, do not use the default box codecs but have their own codec compiled internally to the app (hence why the option was added). So my suspicion is that the vods in question are encoded in some bizarre format that most players/codecs do not like. I have 0 issues with the VOD and TV Series that are on the 2 servers I use. If buzztv 5 had an issue, I would have been flooded with calls, since most of my customers have purchased The Classic (which I had and still do) constantly recommend to them, and it runs the same buzztv software.
