  1. Thats why I said it would take a few updates before it is complete. It will update to 937 first... And only then will it update to the latest one
  2. After it finishes updating, you should be at 5.0.946 I believe, which was released to public about 2 weeks ago. As I had mentioned in my previous post, it will take a few updates before it is complete
  3. With BuzzTV 5 software now (instead of BuzzTV 4) I assume ?
  4. Assuming you selected Pair new device, and then put the remote into pairing mode (pressing OK and VOL- for 3 seconds till light starts flashing) ? Manual for BT-250 is here, and pairing is Step 7. https://buzztv.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Classic_manual-v1_MOBILE.pdf Try power cycling the machine ? And/or turning BT off then on again ?
  5. The box is delivered with Android 13. Any updates are delivered through the main OTA updates. Do not expect monthly Android OS updates on any IPTV box, like you would get on a new phone. OS is updated only as required. You will rarely be at the tip. What Firmware and software is your box running right now ? https://stbtalk.com/topic/14337-new-official-p6-firmware-buzz-6-app-update-november-27th-2024/ FW: V20241126 and s/w: V1.0.76 was the last public version if I am not mistaken.
  6. Do what DU mentioned and it will bring you into 2025 But be patient, it will update and then after the reboot, it will probably update another 1 or 2 times. But it's be worth it.
  7. What buzztv box model ? And what firmware and software version is installed (should be able to see from the updates screen) ?
  8. I guess .101 was released after at some point before we got our updates Eventually one thing that would be nice is to see the release date of the s/w version when we check the bottom of the menu. Right now it just says UPDATED: N/A (guess it'll come in future releases)
  9. Bizarre.. Left it on streaming for nearly 2.5 hours, and got nothing. Then as I was going though checking the version numbers again (to see if it updated maybe while I stepped away), it gave me a popup that new FW 20250124... was available. with 2 lines of release notes including improved OTA (but I already had that update when my box would not update previously). But figured I had no choice... Anyhow I took the update, it showed a bunch of messages about downloading etc... and then stopped. I figured update was done and it would reboot automatically (like a previous update), but then waiting another 20 minutes it did not auto reboot. So I crossed my fingers and powered box off, and then back on again. Now it tells me that I am also 1.0.101 which is a good thing.
  10. Did it a few times, but I rebooted a a little more frequently that once an hour usually 3 or 4 times an hour for various tests. I'll try again and leave it plugged in.
  11. Mine is still on 1.0.98. Box has been on for a while. Checked for updates from the app menu options under settings->Check updates. And also checked from home screen, settings menu "Check for updates" and in both places I get message that "there are no new updates available for your box"
  12. OK.. When watching TV, press Menu button on remote. Got to Settings-?configuration and near the bottom you will have an option that says something like "one touch record". Enable that. Then go back to your Live TV, and as you are watching, hit the record button. Do you get a red "REC" icon on the top right ? Only other thing I can thing of, is that possible the BuzzTV 5 permissions got mangled and it does not have permission to access "files". I'm not in front of my box right now (so going from memory), but to check, from the home screen, you'd have to go to the settings icon on the top right, go into settings, then something like Apps, find BuzzTV 5, click on it, and then click on permissions. And there should be an option in there for files and/or storage. That permission should be enabled. If it is not, it will not be able to write to the internal storage.
  13. There is no discussions about specific services in this forum. This is a buzz support forum. When you hit the record button when watching a show, do you get any messages ? Errors, popups, red "rec" icon on top right ? anything ?
  14. I know they did.. But maybe they assumed it was internal, just because they had not installed anything else. Don't recall if the box was at one time configured to record to a USB, and then that USB is no longer available, does it fall back to internal, or N/A ? I'd have to test it, I don't recall. But that is why I sked to check and confirm.
  15. You said you "installed the server address". You went to Server screen, and did you choose MAC, XC API, or M3U ? You can go there now, and when you scroll to MAC, XC APi and M3U, which one has your subscription ? If you want to record one channel while watchin something else, your provider needs to support multiple connections (because each stream/channel you you are watching/recording is considered as one connection.. MAC does not support that, it only supports a single connection. You should however be able to record what you are watching. When watching TV, hit the Menu button, go to PVR, then PVR Options.. What is Recoding storage location set to ?
  16. Oops... OK.. completely forgot to look at the category
  17. Please provide the Firmware and the Software version of the box. You can typically see firmware and software listed in the updates screen. Just because it says it checked, does not always mean you are at latest. Also which X5 are you referring to (there are multiple versions X5 128AI, X5 AX-C, X5 SS...) When you are trying to connect to WiFi are you disconnecting the Ethernet cable ? You should, since Ethernet will take priority. Try in settings to turn wifi off. Power down the box. Unplug it. Then plug back in, go to settings, and re-enable wifi. If all else fails, I know it sounds drastic, but you can always backup your BuzzTV 5 settings to a USB stick (to backup your servers, settings and favourites), then do a hard factory reset (pin method) and then try again. This assumes you don't have piles of 3rd party apps installed, since you would need to reinstall those.
  18. Took the first update and it reboot immediately. less than 20 seconds later, told me another update was available. Took the update, but then after downloading, and doing it's thing, there was no visible message that it was doing something in the background (I think there should be something at least to ensure users don't try to unplug at this point). then several seconds later it rebooted on it's own. Now App shows 1.0.98. And youtube icon placeholder is on the home screen. Oh yes, and the VPN option is on the settings screen. Thnx
  19. I just took the update a few minutes ago, it rebooted and mine is the same as yours. Settings says 1.0.51 yet app menu says 1.0.98. No VPN option in the settings screen either. And I do not see any youtube icon either.
  20. V20241126 w V1.0.76 was the last public version.
  21. Are you wired, or WiFi ? Have you tried to reboot your modem/router ? How about power cycling the P6 (since it typically only goes to sleep) ?
  22. You tried hitting Menu->Settings->Check for Updates ?
  23. Have you tried the latest update that was just sent today (included X5 SS) https://stbtalk.com/topic/14395-new-buzz-5-app-update-version-946-jan-13th-2025/
  24. Probably best to PM server details to allaboutbuzz. IF they can replicate, they can probably find a fix for it.
  25. Are you all using the same server ? MAC based subs ? Maybe it is something specific to that server.
