If you upgraded from 766 to 937
It takes about 20-30 minutes before the update will appear for 946
And you can try changing the player in configuration menu for the error message

Firmware updates and app updates are separate
We no longer do Firmware updates for your model, but we still do Buzz 5 App updates
And V946 is the latest version that just came out this month-

Eventually one thing that would be nice is to see the release date of the s/w version when we check the bottom of the menu.
Right now it just says UPDATED: N/A (guess it'll come in future releases)
I edited my post, I got the version # wrong

After a reboot device would download new ota after 1hr then it would become available to user once downloaded is done

We have to fix one configuration issue as well. So you might run into issues
These fixes should be sent today or Monday
And we use Debian Linux OS.

less than 20 seconds later, told me another update was available. Took the update, but then after downloading, and doing it's thing, there was no visible message that it was doing something in the background (I think there should be something at least to ensure users don't try to unplug at this point). then several seconds later it rebooted on it's own.
Now App shows 1.0.98. And youtube icon placeholder is on the home screen. Oh yes, and the VPN option is on the settings screen.

Yes we automatically need it to reboot, it was built into our scripts
Its only for users like yourself that were stuck on older updates.
And good to hear that you're now running the latest update

Changing stream format would change the type of stream the server sends
so yes HLS may be freezing but TS isn't
And auto by default uses HLS first, but if a server doesn't have HLS it will automatically use the next available formatIn your first post you said that freezing happened on different TV brands, which doesn't make sense. As a TV brand has nothing to do with channels freezing

A new OTA update was just sent today
Anyone stuck on older updates, will get a second update to follow within a few hours after the first one
It should bring you up to the latest version of Buzz 6 App etc.

We tried switching video format in configuration from Automatic to TS and it works well now. Question is should I tell him to run HLS or TS. I am wondering if it's certain TV's don't work well with the Automatic feature?
Stream format has nothing to do with the brand of TV you're using

Download option only works/appears for Catch-up if the server supports it
Otherwise just click the catch-up program you want to watch to play it
Keep in mind most servers only offer 1-3 days worth of playback.-

it is a multiday recording, same time everyday.
Add a couple of minutes before and after
normally I get from 5 minutes to 20 minutes of recording
If I just wait for show and press record, that works
hence the need for catch-up.

glad to hear about X5.... I will order one, and hope it works as well as 4500 as far as catch-up is concerned. I will store away the P6 and hope for a better future.

Ok I think other users reported this issue where after a multi day recording worked the first time
It won't work again afterwards
We will fix this on our next update.
