    Manual Update fully works now if you're running this update
    Previous FWs downloaded it in the background, so if it wasn't downloaded yet and you checked manually. It would say there is no update.

    As we separated the FW + App Updates now for all future updates after the FW and App update below.
    To make things easier. Dealers were complaining that you had to reboot the box for an App update.

    I think it may be something Buzz needs to address in a future update. Until then I will have to leave my TV on all night.

    We use the NEC Protocol for IR Codes, so do many other devices like LG
    Sometimes they overlap between other devices
    This isn't something we can fix unfortunately

    Ok Emporiums advice is good

    And 4500 is Android 9, so we have no way to update Firmware for that model anymore.

    Which app are you referring to?

    Are the updates from the Play Store or Aptoide or are they built directly into the app?

    Trying to understand all of the details, so we can reproduce it

    Also which model # do you have?

    When using the BUZZ 5 app or the two other players installed with the same playlist or very similar they are perfect (no white background or any missing) 

    Thanks for any help. All updates have been installed since new .

    We used the white BG cause some channel logos were png

    So you couldn’t see them well
    Esp blue and black logos 

    because it blended into the background

    So they all got a white BG 

    To make it work with the most image types we will encounter

    Hey guys I just installed the latest update and I thought everything was all right until I went to rearrange the icons for the apps on my home screen when I click on the app I want to move the usual pop up comes up and then when I press continue It doesn't let me move the app and the blue outline box isn't over the app anymore it disappears and when I try to scroll down and rearrange it again the blue outline box is red and my remote stops working until I restart the box but even after restarting the same issue repeats itself when trying to rearrange the icons

    if this issue was only happening in one location it may have pointed to TV or something specific but Florida and Canada on several TV’s

    last communication from support says I can send the box to buzz, they will check it out and send it back.

  12. So checking update manually has a bug on install

    So basically need to wait for the update to appear on the Home Screen until we fix it on our next update
    Or wait 1-2 hours after box boots up to check manually

    We are actually working to separate the App and OS updates
    Since App Updates are sent more often

    This won't require the box to reboot to install, just the app to reboot while the box stays on

    We should be done this soon

    Yeah, that's true. I know about those How-To videos and they're certainly valuable for sure. I'm happy to have some of them on my Buzz box too. I guess aside from those specifically tailored videos it's pretty easy to figure out most of everything else. I just thought it would be pretty great if there was a pdf with a list showing different categories and you can look up what you need to do when you need help. No biggie.

    But WOW, I just discovered something. What I was trying to figure out is how to organize my favorites after pressing the blue button to do so. It seemed so archaic and weird to figure out. My box was just updated yesterday and since then I went in just now to try this again, and I realized it's totally different and WAY easier to figure out now. I'm so impressed with the update which makes this SO much simpler. A big thank you to allaboutbuzz and anyone else involved with this!!

    We will be putting out more videos next week on How to Organize Favs + Categories and our new Themes Feature

    Not using the correct power supply is your issue

    The tech support agent handling your ticket has 25 years experience with Power Supplies, Voltage etc
    If you use a higher Voltage PS it can create load, which therefore reboots the box.  It only takes 5% of load to create issues like this. We provide the correct power supplies with all of our boxes for this exact reason as they're fully tested and UL + FCC Certified.

     

    And why would we send you a new power supply? Unless there is something I am missing from all of this.
