    Hey guys I just installed the latest update and I thought everything was all right until I went to rearrange the icons for the apps on my home screen when I click on the app I want to move the usual pop up comes up and then when I press continue It doesn't let me move the app and the blue outline box isn't over the app anymore it disappears and when I try to scroll down and rearrange it again the blue outline box is red and my remote stops working until I restart the box but even after restarting the same issue repeats itself when trying to rearrange the icons

    if this issue was only happening in one location it may have pointed to TV or something specific but Florida and Canada on several TV’s

  4. So checking update manually has a bug on install

    So basically need to wait for the update to appear on the Home Screen until we fix it on our next update
    Or wait 1-2 hours after box boots up to check manually

    We are actually working to separate the App and OS updates
    Since App Updates are sent more often

    This won't require the box to reboot to install, just the app to reboot while the box stays on

    We should be done this soon

    Yeah, that's true. I know about those How-To videos and they're certainly valuable for sure. I'm happy to have some of them on my Buzz box too. I guess aside from those specifically tailored videos it's pretty easy to figure out most of everything else. I just thought it would be pretty great if there was a pdf with a list showing different categories and you can look up what you need to do when you need help. No biggie.

    But WOW, I just discovered something. What I was trying to figure out is how to organize my favorites after pressing the blue button to do so. It seemed so archaic and weird to figure out. My box was just updated yesterday and since then I went in just now to try this again, and I realized it's totally different and WAY easier to figure out now. I'm so impressed with the update which makes this SO much simpler. A big thank you to allaboutbuzz and anyone else involved with this!!

    We will be putting out more videos next week on How to Organize Favs + Categories and our new Themes Feature

    Not using the correct power supply is your issue

    The tech support agent handling your ticket has 25 years experience with Power Supplies, Voltage etc
    If you use a higher Voltage PS it can create load, which therefore reboots the box.  It only takes 5% of load to create issues like this. We provide the correct power supplies with all of our boxes for this exact reason as they're fully tested and UL + FCC Certified.

     

    And why would we send you a new power supply? Unless there is something I am missing from all of this.

I understand the cost for License's for Dolby Vision but at least give the option in settings for video formats in HDMI passthrough.

    HDR10+ and Dolby Vision needs the CPU to support it. As it's hardware decoded

    They also both require a license/$$. 

     

    Both are not even available via Rockchip.

    Edit scheduled recordings was fixed in the most recent update sent today.


    We can't do thumbnails when ffwd/rew as the servers our apps compatible with don't support it like Netflix or Disney
    In order to support it, the streams have to be encoded this way. We have no problem adding support for it though if it becomes available

    And its impossible for a company like ours to get a model certified by Netflix
    I have personally sat in on meetings with Netflix and they want millions of boxes sold etc. They had a saying in the meeting, its not what Netflix can do for you, its what your company can do for Netflix with growing their subscriber base.

    The remote IR codes have not changed for ages... I can use a remote from my 4000 series boxes, with all my 5 Series boxes (including the Classic) and even on the P6 box.   Hell, even the old older 3000 series boxes used the same IR codes.

    So just choose ANY buzz box and it should work fine.

    So for customers in Europe, they can turn it off, but do they then have any way of using a different provider if they do ?  I assume there would be some development needed to allow the use of a different metadata provider to get the rights and API to use it.  Unless there is something in the way XC Api works to allow the server to provide that metadata.

    On BuzzTV 5, I've only had it provide wrong info for one movie that I can ever remember.  Nothing is perfect, but good enough for me.

    Oh well, more options then more flexibility I guess 🙂

    Press Menu/Refresh
    For the cache etc to refresh

     

    And were looking at adding support for other metadata services like TMDB as a switching feature.
