XC defaults to using XML EPG
Mac uses a different method

Could be that the EPG is up on the XML but down on Server method via MAC
MAC only has one method for EPG, XC in Configuration can use XML or Server

Certain WD NVME require a Firmware update, because they just disappear/get deleted from the BIOS at random

This happens on Windows even

Look up a firmware update for your model, as this could be the case for you.

WD released a Firmware update for this problem about a year ago
You will need to connect it to a PC or MAC to do the Firmware update though.

Try using Fast Login for Login Type instead of Default
