  1. Is the buzz box the only thing they use on that TV ? I have one TV and that is all I use is my u5 buzz box. My remote is not programmed to TV. So configured the buzz box to disable "Force max volume", so that way the volume on the remote controls the variable volume output of the buzz box. The TV volume is always set to about 65%, so that way the volume button on the remote will control the volume from the box to vary from 0% to 65% max volume of the TV. And the tv input is always set to HDMI1. So all I need to do, is power on the TV (I usually just press the button on the TV), and then afterwards everything else is controllable from the buzz remote.
  2. From Menu->settings->configuration->backup/restore From one box to another, no problem. From one server to another on same box, not typically.
  3. If you did a factory reset of the REMOTE, it should no longer be paired with the TV. It should have 0 control of the TV. That was the whole point. I never pair my remotes with the TV. My box is configured with powerkey definition as "shutdown". Disable the "force max volume" option. Then I turn on the TV, put the volume to halfway or 60%. Then control everything from the box, including the variable volume. On remotes like the BT250, which have learning keys, I'll program the 4 keys for TV volume, source and TV power. But the BT300/400 pair, but does not always work well with all brands and CEC implementations. I prefer just leaving it unpaired so the buzz remote controls only the buzz box, nothing on the TV. .
  4. Did you actually "program" the remote ? Try to do a factory reset of the remote (to be independent of the TV). To factory reset the BT300/400 remote: Hold the D-Pad Down button and the 0 (Zero) button for 4 seconds until it blinks 3 times. Then try it again. Also make sure the powerkey definition is set to "shutdown". I believe by default it is set to "suspend".
  5. Next time, just get some sexy background instead, so you won't "want" to go back to the default background Enjoy
  6. On your Modern screen, I don't know if that is some reflection, but you seem to have applied a background image. If that is what you want to fix, then From Home Screen->Settings, and then go over the "BG Image" button, and long press, to remove the background image.
  7. I was so tired last night, I just did a cut&paste and did not even realize it
  8. "BuzzTV Modem" is the Default one after a factory reset, or a new box install.
  9. It is not adjustable on the Buzz box default players as far as I know. However for VOD/TV Series, you could set it to use "External" player if you wish, and then you can adjust it to whatever your external player allows.
  10. Unfortunately there is no way to hide the "languages" since they are just in the "title" in "()" Guess if there was an option to hide VOD categories (and assuming your provider has each language under it's own category) and exclude hidden categories from a search that would be an option, but that would be a new feature. Maybe something for Buzz to consider on BuzzTV 6
  11. The problem here is very specific to a specific service. Could be anything from "special characters" in the title descriptions which others ignore, but Buzz does not. Could be the search mechanism that is used. If you put multiple words in the search box, does it do an "AND" for all words, an "OR", convert to a REGEX, just a quoted string search, I have no clue ? Also, seems like your provider (unlike most) has dozens of copies of each movie, in different resolutions, languages, etc... Could be that there is some limit that is being hit on the total number of VOD listings. Or it could be something completely different Honestly, the only way to really figure it out, as already mentioned, is to provide the provider info, login type used (MAC/XC/M3U) and an example of search/fail to Buzz and hope they can get access and see if they can reproduce. If they can reproduce it, then they can probably create a fix for it. But like nbs mentioned, don't expect a quick fix, since they are super busy with the new boxes right now.
  12. BuzzTV version ? From LiveTV, just hit Menu, and it should be at the bottom (5.0.xxx). If you just search for "FORCE", I know you will get a huge list, but is it in that list if you scroll down ?
  13. classic, media player and mordern are themes.. Nothing to do with the players.. In LiveTV, press Menu->Settings->Configuration and the top 2 entries are to select player for LiveTV and VOD/TVSeries.
  14. If you are wired, and it still does not work, try switching to wireless to see if it works better. If it does not work any better, maybe try to do a factory reset (pin method). Procedure is identical to this: https://stbtalk.com/topic/300-factory-reset-hard-reset-xr4500-xrs4500/

  16. Then that would explain why it is not there Lol.
  17. The DATA backup, as we have in BuzzTV 5 app, can be anywhere (internal or external). However the OLD backup (as was originally available on Android 9 boxes - option under Settings->BuzzTV Utilities), is only to external, since it takes an "image" of the internal drive. Actually I just tried in on my 4500 and E2 (it has been removed on the 4900 - and I think it should be from all others if there is ever another update on them). If you try to launch it with no external storage, it actually gives you a full screen warning that there is no external storage and only option is "ok" to exit the app.
  18. Do you have a 5.1 Surround system ? I believe it tries to do passthrough to a device that can decode it (so obviously it does not control volume if decoding is done elsewhere). If not, From home screen, go to Settings->Device Preferences->Display & Sound->Advanced sound settings->Select Formats, and select "None: Never use surround sound".
  19. That second backup, as much as it may "sound" useful, in reality it is often not. 99% of the time, when you perform a reset, it is to address some strange issues (strange behaviours and often due to corruptions or incompatibilities between apps). Doing a full backup, and then restoring it, you are just copying ever whatever crap caused the problem in the first place. The new backup method, backs up exactly what is important to most buzz users, which is the settings of the BuzzTV IPTV apps (server settings, and favorites), and it is not in any binary format, they are exported to a yaml file, which (similar to other markup languages) is ideal for configuration files, so it backs up just what is needed and not the cache files, binaries, orphaned files, etc.. which can be the source of the strange behaviours you are often trying to correct. 3rdparty apps that are complex to setup and configure, SHOULD have their own mechanism to export their configuration. A full backup should not be a substitute for the lack of 3rdparty devs not foreseeing and easy way to do a backup of their software settings. Just my view and opinion. I was also skeptical when the new backup mechanism was introduced since I was used to the old/full mechanism (old habits die hard), but after using both, I have realized that the full one, was really less useful. This new mechanism I use on many boxes and quite regularly.
  20. One of the best features Buzz added. Makes it so much easier when setting up a box. Future improvement would be nice if they show you the current servers and allow you to select one and edit it. It can be done manually if you know the index and alter the URL manually, but would be nice if they had a small UI for it. But that is just a "nice to have"
  21. Like Ryu said. Super simple. If your PC (or phone) is on same Network, just open a browser and type the address listed on top of the server screen. example: http://192.168.1.139:8090 The use the form you see in front of you to enter the info, and then "save".
  22. Don't say it is "up to date". Post version numbers of firmware and BuzzTV software version. Have you tried to clear the cache for buzztv ? Maybe Cache is corrupt.
  23. LiveTV, VOD, TV Series ? Have you tried changing Players in the config menu ? BuzzTV version ? (and please don't say "lastest one".
  24. Don't' forget you can use a web browser from PC or phone to enter your server info if you have a lot of servers. Make life a little easier when you have a few servers to create.
  25. Did you finally get it working ?
