Wasn't really asking for the group renumbering I don't use it myself, but I do use it on my mom's box, just makes it simpler for her to have her favorites ordered from 1 to 99... Was actually mention more for the bug that if a channel is not in your current category, it will not change to it if you enter channel number on the remote. I just tested it on BuzzTV 5, and with group numbering disabled, if you enter a channel that is NOT in your currently selected category, it will switch to it, and change the category to "ALL CHANNELS" which is fine also I guess. I would have chosen to switch to the category the channel is defined under, but that is more of a UI/Buzz choice. On BuzzTV 6, it just ignores any manual channel inputs if they are not in your currently selected category. Oh ya, and most importantly for allaboutbuzz to know that the other 4 bugs are fixed and can be checked off the to do list. Cheers

BUG #1 through #4 all fixed. Tested them and work as expected. They can all be closed. Thank you. However found one more to add to the back of the queue Not sure if it is by design, but I find it strange. Obviously not all features are implemented yet. But for now, there is no option for group numbering (which renumbers all channels in a group starting at "1"). So using w*** we have a little over 11000 channels and all numbers from 1 all the way up to 11000+. But if I am in a specific category (except for ALL CHANNELS), and a key in a channel number that happens to be in another category (ex: 3027 which is Adult swim: Rick & Morty in my case), it will ignore it and not switch. If I key in a channel number that is in my category, it will change to that channel. Obviously Buzz is free to code it however they prefer, but I would think that, if group numbering is off (assuming it is eventually added), then entering a channel number on the remote, would first check if it is in your current category (to ensure favorite categories are respected), and if it is in the category you are in, then it should just tune into that channel (no need to change category). However, if it is NOT in your category, it should switch to the category it is found in, and switch to that channel. And super low priority was my previous Feature request 1: get the PADLOCK symbol preceding the category name for locked categories in the channel list and the "organize favorites" list ? No. it is 10 seconds and no setting to change it. But if you long press it, it does accelerate and go faster through, even though it is still 10 sec increments.

Did a quick check. BUG #4 is confirmed fixed. BUG #1 still seems to be an issue. I don't see any difference. Still behaves the same. BUG #2, back button is fixed. Cycles through the menus as expected. BUG #3: Guess some work was done (or side effect from the other fixes). The last channel button does work now, but it does switch between Locked channels also (for manually locked channels, that is probably not a big deal, however in buzztv5 if you were in an adult category, and switched a few channels (CH+/CH-), then hit the "last channel" button, it would jump to the last unlocked channel (great way to get out if the kids are coming ), not the last locked channel (unless option was set to include them in favorites if I recall). If you long press the "last channel" button, the channel history list is correct (no locked channels in it as expected). Guess "if" the desired behaviour is similar to buzztv5, then the "last channel" button should jump to the channel that is on top of that linked list of channels when you long press. Another thing I noted... In a previous version, you had also fixed the shortcut from the Home screen->Settings icon popup->Bluetooth icon to bring up the bluetooth settings. That now works (thanks). But when you press the back button, to get out. Instead of just closing the Bluetooth settings and returning to the settings popup, it returns to the Settings "menu". Press one more time and it closes the menu and goes to the settings popup. All other shortcuts on that popup (like the WiFi) will open up their respective settings menu, but then "back" button will close it and return to the popup instead of going first back to settings menu. As DU mentioned, preview has been there from start, but it is on bottom right (which I think is better honestly). For Favorite categories, why not just organize your categories, and bring your favorites to the top ? And at the same time, just hide all the categories you don't care for ? So I typically have my 2 or 3 favorites groups (which show on top by default), and then all the favorite categories sorted to the top just below my favorites categories.

And it doesn't matter if it can do 25MB/s. It all depends if it can do it in a steady stream without hiccups. Also, you say 25Mbps, but it will depend on the compression and codec. 4K @ 30fps in h.264 can often be 40 to 45Mbps (and is the sweetspot for a nice clean stream). Now if done with AVC/h265, things change again.

And you sure that the recording destination is still valid (ie: USB stick or drive has not crashed). Using MAC or XC ? Do you have multiple connections available ? If using XC, if you go to menu->settings->account settings and see how many connections max and active are listed.

I hear you. I have not tried it on the newer boxes, but I never had good luck with SD cards on older boxes, regardless of how good they are, or even if the cards were high endurance type. I use USB drives similar to these, and they are super compact, name brand and fast. And there is no spec provided on the speed that the boxes SD slot operates at. Sure you can get super fast cards, but if the slot is not designed for speed, it won't help. It's like putting a USB3 stick, into a USB1 slot. You won't get USB3 speeds out of it.

First of all, I do NOT recommend using an SD card. Your card may be fast, etc.. but no idea what speeds the card slot is on these boxes. The SD card slot is often used for disaster recovery/flashing the unit. Too many people have had issues using the SD card slot for PVR, that I don't recommend it. I would recommend using a good quality USB 3 stick, and if possible, format it on a PC, in exFAT format (that way there is no 4GB file size limitation). then once installed on your box, make sure you go into PVR settings, and ensure that the recording destination is the new USB storage location. Obviously you can run these tests with any spare USB stick you have lying around for now. Also, please post the Firmware (ex: V202xxxxx) and software version ( 5.0.xxx) that is installed on your box (can find it in the updates screen).

Also, make sure you reseller doesn't have your account "locked" to "agent". Since you upgraded from buzztv4 to buzztv 5, it is quite possible that the agent being reported by the new version of BuzzTV 5 is different than that from buzztv4. Typical typos BTW are extra spaces after the ":". Sometimes the on screen keyboards, auto add a space or 2 after punctuation.

5.0.766 is far from being the newest version. After a reset it may take some time for it to update. You can try to go to "menu->settings-Check for updates" and see if that forces an update. 5.0.935 I believe is the latest public release, but not sure what the 4000 has gotten, but I'd be surprised if it is not 5.0.9xx at least. Does your router present you with a single SSID to connect to, or do you get 2 SSID (on for 2.4Ghz and one for 5Ghz). If you have only a single one, that may be what is causing the issue. The router is trying to decide if 2.4 or 5Ghz band is best for the connection and my be trying to change it when it detects conditions have changed. Don't know what router you have, but many routers give the option to disable what is called "band steering", which combines the 2 bands into one. If you can find that option in your router, disable it, in order to get 2 separate SSID (one for 2.4Ghz and one for 5Gh). And connect to the 2.4Ghz to start. This will make it more stable. Also, before making any changes, I am assuming you have already at least rebooted both your router and modem ?

Do you get that message on ALL channels ? On buzztv 5, you tried both Primary and backup players (Menu->Settings->Configuration->LiveTV) ? If you do, then it is NOT normal. BuzzTV 5 on the P6, may not be the latest version, but it is a stable and mature version (5.0.915 I believe). Should play pretty much any IPTV service without issues.

First of all, please post the firmware (V202xxxxxx) and software version (5.0.xxx) your box has installed presently. Should be able to find it in the Updates screen. Secondly, is this when you are watching something, or while it is idle at the home screen ? Is the TV connected still powered on, or powered off ? If using HDMI-CEC then the TV can trigger the box to go into sleep mode. Are you using the power supply that came with the unit ? The 4900 and the U5 (and P6) use a 12V power supply. Most other Buzz boxes use only a 5V. A 5V power supply will be able to start the box and be used for some things, but can cause undesired effects. And I still don't understand where the 4900 comes into play here. What does it have to do with the U5 ?

As nbs mentioned, the keys on the remote are mapped for buzztv 6, hence why when you press the guide key, it brings up buzz tv 6, that has been discussed a few times previously. If using BuzzTV 5, and you want the guide, just hit menu, and then select the EPG from there. And you get stream errors, but how many connections does your SUB allow ? If you opened buzztv 6 and you did not exit properly (for now, you need to go to menu->settings->exit) and then launched buzztv 5, it is possible that your provider still sees your original connection from buzztv 6, still active. If you want to ENSURE that it is not a problem with multiple streams being active, just unplug your box, plug it back in, and then when it boots, just start buzztv 5 directly (not 6 and then 5). You will also get channel stream errors if you try to open more connections than your sub allows.

No. In most cases you do not need to. There are options available to resellers on the panel to lock XC subs to various stuff like ISP, IP, Country, user agents reported by box, etc... They are rarely used unless some account is being hacked. I have my same XC account installed on at least 10 different boxes, and no issues. That is very convenient. As long as i don't go over my number of simultaneous active streams, it does not matter how many boxes it is installed on.

I'm assuming your box eventually updated to 5.0.935 ?

Sorry for the late reply, but I assume you mean the "Last channel" button ? If so, then as DU already mentioned, NO. The back button, works fine to back out of menus, and long press to "exit" buzztv5. However here to report 4 additional bugs I noticed on BuzzTV 6. BUG 1: Involved last channel in a list and using CH+/CH- When you are on a category, and you use the CH+ and CH- buttons to channel surf, it seems to work well, except when you get to the bottom of the channel list. When you get to the second to last channel, it works. But then when you press CH+, it does NOT show the last channel in the list. But you press it a second time, and it goes to the TOP of the list. Now if you press CH-, it seems to do nothing.. Press it a second time, and it jumps to the second to last channel. So using CH+/CH- buttons for channel surfing you can not seem to get the LAST channel in the category to play. Seem like internally the pointer is pointing to that channel, but it does not seem to complete the "switching" routine to properly select and play it. BUG 2: Involves locked channels and the back button (not the last channel button) When you tune into a locked channel (either locked by default due to adult category or other, or locked manually by user), if you press the "back" button, it acts like the "last channel" button and changes channel back to the last non-locked channels. In BuzzTV 5, the pressing the back button on a locked channel behaves like any other channel (it cycles between channel list, full screen with info bar, and full screen no info bar). BUG 3: Involved the manually locked channel category. If you lock a few channels manually, and then go to the "Locked" category, and select channels from the locked category, the "last channel" button has no effect (it's as if it is disabled). Does not even take you back to the last unlocked channel. BUG 4: Locked channel from the "All channels" category Pretty sure I mentioned this a while back, but you can access locked channels (like ADULT category) by going to "all channels" category and scrolling to them and selecting them that way. No password prompt presented. Entering the channel number also bypasses it. This happens ONLY for the default locked categories, NOT manually locked channels. It you select those, yo do get a prompt. Feature request 1: Can we get the PADLOCK symbol preceding the category name for locked categories in the channel list and the "organize favorites" list ?

At the moment there is no other box that is announced that will be retrofitted with BuzzTV 6. And just to clarify, BuzzTV 6 is not an OS, it is an application. The OS on the P6 is Android 13, just like the OS on the X5 AX-C is Android 11. The design issue for the power connector was taken. For whatever reason it was taken (technical, financial, mix of both, whatever...), it is done. Also, I don't know what ORANGE color you are referring to. So far on Buzz Web site, there are only 2 options (not even 4 like you mentioned in your first post). The 8GB model is (Black/Black) The 16GB model is (Green/Black) The only Buzz box I recall having any Orange was the xrs4900 (great box, still my daily driver). And you can't satisfy everyone for colors. Some people will like it, and others won't.

First of all, 5.0.766 is not the latest. That is archaic You should be at 5.0.935 (going from memory). From Live TV, hit menu->settings-Check for updates... ? Any updates ? Also, from Menu->settings->configuration, have you tried changing the player used ? Since you did a factory reset, you "may" need to ask your reseller to do a device reset on his panel for your account.

Hard reset is obviously the best if you can. BUT having said that, buzz has acknowledged that they have reproduced audio issues with other 3rd party apps also, so maybe you'll want to hold off until the next OTA update. The issues may be very well related. In the meantime, maybe you can try different external 3rd party players and use those for stremio (like VLC, MXPlayer, HBPlayer, etc..).

Menu->Settings and exit is at the bottom. Would be nice if we can eventually bring back the long press of the back button to get the exit dialog
