  1. I was so tired last night, I just did a cut&paste and did not even realize it
  2. "BuzzTV Modem" is the Default one after a factory reset, or a new box install.
  3. It is not adjustable on the Buzz box default players as far as I know. However for VOD/TV Series, you could set it to use "External" player if you wish, and then you can adjust it to whatever your external player allows.
  4. Unfortunately there is no way to hide the "languages" since they are just in the "title" in "()" Guess if there was an option to hide VOD categories (and assuming your provider has each language under it's own category) and exclude hidden categories from a search that would be an option, but that would be a new feature. Maybe something for Buzz to consider on BuzzTV 6
  5. The problem here is very specific to a specific service. Could be anything from "special characters" in the title descriptions which others ignore, but Buzz does not. Could be the search mechanism that is used. If you put multiple words in the search box, does it do an "AND" for all words, an "OR", convert to a REGEX, just a quoted string search, I have no clue ? Also, seems like your provider (unlike most) has dozens of copies of each movie, in different resolutions, languages, etc... Could be that there is some limit that is being hit on the total number of VOD listings. Or it could be something completely different Honestly, the only way to really figure it out, as already mentioned, is to provide the provider info, login type used (MAC/XC/M3U) and an example of search/fail to Buzz and hope they can get access and see if they can reproduce. If they can reproduce it, then they can probably create a fix for it. But like nbs mentioned, don't expect a quick fix, since they are super busy with the new boxes right now.
  6. BuzzTV version ? From LiveTV, just hit Menu, and it should be at the bottom (5.0.xxx). If you just search for "FORCE", I know you will get a huge list, but is it in that list if you scroll down ?
  7. classic, media player and mordern are themes.. Nothing to do with the players.. In LiveTV, press Menu->Settings->Configuration and the top 2 entries are to select player for LiveTV and VOD/TVSeries.
  8. If you are wired, and it still does not work, try switching to wireless to see if it works better. If it does not work any better, maybe try to do a factory reset (pin method). Procedure is identical to this: https://stbtalk.com/topic/300-factory-reset-hard-reset-xr4500-xrs4500/

  10. Then that would explain why it is not there Lol.
  11. The DATA backup, as we have in BuzzTV 5 app, can be anywhere (internal or external). However the OLD backup (as was originally available on Android 9 boxes - option under Settings->BuzzTV Utilities), is only to external, since it takes an "image" of the internal drive. Actually I just tried in on my 4500 and E2 (it has been removed on the 4900 - and I think it should be from all others if there is ever another update on them). If you try to launch it with no external storage, it actually gives you a full screen warning that there is no external storage and only option is "ok" to exit the app.
  12. Do you have a 5.1 Surround system ? I believe it tries to do passthrough to a device that can decode it (so obviously it does not control volume if decoding is done elsewhere). If not, From home screen, go to Settings->Device Preferences->Display & Sound->Advanced sound settings->Select Formats, and select "None: Never use surround sound".
  13. That second backup, as much as it may "sound" useful, in reality it is often not. 99% of the time, when you perform a reset, it is to address some strange issues (strange behaviours and often due to corruptions or incompatibilities between apps). Doing a full backup, and then restoring it, you are just copying ever whatever crap caused the problem in the first place. The new backup method, backs up exactly what is important to most buzz users, which is the settings of the BuzzTV IPTV apps (server settings, and favorites), and it is not in any binary format, they are exported to a yaml file, which (similar to other markup languages) is ideal for configuration files, so it backs up just what is needed and not the cache files, binaries, orphaned files, etc.. which can be the source of the strange behaviours you are often trying to correct. 3rdparty apps that are complex to setup and configure, SHOULD have their own mechanism to export their configuration. A full backup should not be a substitute for the lack of 3rdparty devs not foreseeing and easy way to do a backup of their software settings. Just my view and opinion. I was also skeptical when the new backup mechanism was introduced since I was used to the old/full mechanism (old habits die hard), but after using both, I have realized that the full one, was really less useful. This new mechanism I use on many boxes and quite regularly.
  14. One of the best features Buzz added. Makes it so much easier when setting up a box. Future improvement would be nice if they show you the current servers and allow you to select one and edit it. It can be done manually if you know the index and alter the URL manually, but would be nice if they had a small UI for it. But that is just a "nice to have"
  15. Like Ryu said. Super simple. If your PC (or phone) is on same Network, just open a browser and type the address listed on top of the server screen. example: http://192.168.1.139:8090 The use the form you see in front of you to enter the info, and then "save".
  16. Don't say it is "up to date". Post version numbers of firmware and BuzzTV software version. Have you tried to clear the cache for buzztv ? Maybe Cache is corrupt.
  17. LiveTV, VOD, TV Series ? Have you tried changing Players in the config menu ? BuzzTV version ? (and please don't say "lastest one".
  18. Don't' forget you can use a web browser from PC or phone to enter your server info if you have a lot of servers. Make life a little easier when you have a few servers to create.
  19. Yes, but you want to make sure you have a proper backup on USB key before doing a factory reset But YES, it CAN be used from one device to another as long as they are on BuzzTV 5. I do it all the time. I create server profiles on one one box and then back them up and move them to another all the time. But like I said earlier, you NEED to make sure that when you do a backup on your 4500, you move the backup ZIP file to your USB key. By default I believe it goes to internal storage. And then on your 4500 MAX, if it doesn't see it, you MAY need to copy the ZIP file back to it's internal storage (don't think you need to, but you can try) and then make sure you have selected to look at the correct location. If you check your USB key, you should have a ZIP file (named something like: buzztv-backup....YEARxxYY_99999.zip ), and inside that ZIP file is typically just a single file called "backup.yaml". Do you have the ZIP file on the USB key ?
  20. The Android 9 boxes for some people do NOT automatically copy it to the USB drive. On your USB stick if you put it on PC, do you see a ZIP file on it ? If not, you need to use a file manager app (Solid explorer, total commander, es file explorer, etc..) to copy the file from your 4500 internal storage to the USB stick first
  21. Agreed, forgot about that one, since I never had one But the 3900 also used a 5v,3A power adapter instead of the usual 5V,2A on other boxes. So "technically"if they needed 12V for the sata connector (assuming it was actually wired for 12V), they have a little more current to allow some up-converting to get the 12V. But obviously I did not design the boxes, nor open them up to investigate how it was done. I am just "assuming". Bottom line is, make sure you are using the power adapter that came with your specific box, or at least something of the same voltage, and at least the same amount of "A".
  22. When I said internal HDD, I meant the SATA connector. The xrs4900 and U5 use a 12V instead of the 5V, probably due to the SATA HDD connector which has a 12V line (I know it is not used by most newer drives, but it is still part of the SATA connector spec).
  23. You are lucky it was in that direction. DO NOT use the U5 power supply on the older boxes (except the xrs4900). The U5 and XRS4900 use a 12V power supply (due to the internal HDD), most (if not all) of the other Buzz boxes use a 5V power supply. Do it in the other direction and it may be a "smokey" experience.
  24. They are not in circulation yet, so kind of hard to say at this point.
