Did you do a hard reset (true factory default) after updating to BuzzTV 5 ? You can find the procedure here: https://stbtalk.com/topic/300-factory-reset-hard-reset-xr4500-xrs4500/ Slightly different box, but procedure is identical. Keep in mind you will need to reinstall/reconfigure everything after the reset. Are you using WiFi or Hardwired with Ethernet cable ? If you are using WiFi, as a test, can you try running an ethernet cable back to your device and see if the same issues persist with cable and wifi ? May just be taking the box longer to connect to your WiFi router. Not all routers are created equal.

Have you tried other different brand/size usb sticks ? I have piles (at least 100) usb sticks. And initially I was unlucky and one of the sticks (which works fine on my Classic) was not being recognized by the P6. I'd insert it, and you'd see in the storage screen, that it would see it inserted and then quickly eject it (stick works fine in all other boxes I've tried). Second stick I tried, same thing. But eventually I used an identical stick as the first one, which I did a clean wipe (using diskpart on my windows PC), then create an FAT32 partition and copied files on it, and it worked perfectly. Tried a few other sticks, and had no issue. But those first 2 sticks, I have no clue what it does not like. It is on my list of things to analyze and see WHAT it does not like with those. IS it the partition type, size, MBR vs GPT, or some other factor ? Maybe try a different stick or 2 and see.

**NEW** Buzz 6 App Update - V1.0.17 - Aug 20th, 2024
Emporium replied to allaboutbuzz's topic in PowerStation
For EPG, it was either corrupted and it refreshed, or server EPG was down for a while (it happens from time to time, but since they are cached, some people don't realize it. For the other one, I would send a PM to allaboutbuzz with the server details. -

From LiveTV, did you go to the menu->Settings->Check for updates ? -
**NEW** Buzz 6 App Update - V1.0.17 - Aug 20th, 2024

For the EPG, did you try to clear cache on the buzztv6 app ? And/or ClearEPG via the menu->settings ? I've seen it once where the EPG got corrupted and it seemed to have "vanished". A clear cache fixed that case. Worst case, just as a test try to cteate 2 new server entries with the same credentials to see if they work with NEW entries. -
Like DU said, check for updates from the LiveTV app, through menu/settings/check updates because 5.0.884 is far from being the latest. I believe 5.0935 is the latest public release. Also, have you verified that the channels that are causing this issue are actually streaming on your service (on another box or using another app) ? I know for a fact, on a very popular service that many of us use, the Pluto channels are all down for nearly the past week, and if you try to stream those channels, you will get the media not recognized or other similar errors like media format not recognized depending on the player you are using. That is not a Buzz problem however, that is a server issue.

Buzz 5 iptv not streaming hot star Web series
Emporium replied to Ramanathan's topic in BuzzTV 5 beta
When I saw "hotstar", I assumed it was the Disney+ hotstar service that was bring referred to. The app is in Aptoide store. It installs, but I do not have an account to test it. -
Buzz 5 iptv not streaming hot star Web series
Emporium replied to Ramanathan's topic in BuzzTV 5 beta
Have you purchased an IPTV subscription ? The box does not include a subscription to any IPTV service. And my understanding is that their Android app is not pretty good honestly (but I could be wrong). -
Provide a little more details. What version of Firmware are you using and what version of software ? (Check updates screen) Also, what Home Screen are you using ? BuzzTV Modern, or something else (check from settings->BuzzTV Utilities->Home Screen (assuming you are on BuzzTV 5) ? If you are using something else, try going back to BuzzTV Modern.

Lol. I remember seeing that in an older pic a while back. I may be getting old, but I did remember it.. Nice.
-
Hehe.. for W****d that is a custom testers package for you I assume Especially since I assume you expiry date is probably not "valid/existent" either on your account On basic panel the default is 2 and then you have options for 4 and 6 connections.
-
Since it is based on URL/user/password, you can install in on as many boxes as you'd like, and as long as you don't go over the max number of simultaneous connection that you are paying for, it does not matter where you are watching. I had a buddy of mine who had 3 boxes (and 3 TVs), and he used to have 3 based MAC subscriptions to support each box. I switched him over to the same server I use, with XC, and now he just buys 1 sub (which allows 2 connections), and he has it on 4 different boxes in the house. It's just him and the wife, so he never has more than 2 devices streaming at the same time (since he does not record). Also, with XC, being able to have multiple simultaneous connections (depending how many you pay for), you can be watching 1 stream, and recording another on the same account. The main service many of us use comes with a basic 2 connections, but you have options for 4 and 6 connections if needed. And if you are testing different boxes (like some of us do), having to reset every time you want to use another box, is just annoying.

What MAC server bug ? What sts41 is experiencing is NORMAL. Since buzztv 5 and 6 are 2 different software packages, they are seen as 2 different boxes on the server. And MAC servers often bind to the first device that connects to them after a reset (due to a variety of reasons, including DeviceID and in some cases, even tokens. However nbs posted above that he right now, with his server, as long as he powers off and on the box before switching from one to the other, he does not need to have it reset. In terms of bugs, you'll have to test it yourself. The list is VERY dynamic these days with updates going out regularly. I watch tv, vod and tv series no problem on with my server. Sure there is minor bugs with creating additional favorites categories and other minor stuff, but that does not stop anyone from watching something.
-
Sure you can. IF you only want to use one OR the other, you can just put it in the one you want to use. But most most people bough the P6 to use it with Buzztv6. But like with any new software, it still has a few bugs to iron out. In the meantime, people have the option to still use Buzztv 5 which is more mature. So people tend to go back and forth to check out the progress on buzztv 6, and see if it is usable for daily use considering their usage style.
-
All the BuzzTV 6 issues ? no. There is no such thing really. Even BuzzTV 2, 4 and 5 still have some bugs. Every software does. But it is usable for daily use (at least for the way I use it). People's usage style are different and you would need to evaluate for yourself. for XC APi, you can switch back and forth without issue, which is great. MAC, unfortunately, nature of the beast, you will probably need to reset on panel every time you switch back and forth. 1st rule in software development is, that there is a bug in every piece of software. And by induction, every time you fix one bug, there will always be another bug left in the new software
-
Agreed, but some providers that people are used to, don't give an option XC is the way to go, if there is an option obviously.
-
I hope it works out well for you. But always keep in mind that the routers that are often provided by ISP are NOT the best quality. They do the job for basic use, but in some cases ,they can be inadequate for certain scenarios. There is a reason why many home routers like some of the ASUS ones, can easily cost $250+ alone. They do provide a completely different level of networking. IF wired is an option, that is always the best option for any media box. If Rogers is running a new cable into the house, sometimes that is the opportunity to relocate the modem/router to a location closer to the TV, which would allow a wired connection Not saying it will always fix the situation, since some of the included routers can get overwhelmed even with simplest tasks, but it is definitely better than any wifi connection.
-
One channel alone is probably a problem with your providers source. Probably not the box. Even on my provider, sometimes the french channels like LCN and TVA go out of sync, and I know it is not the box, because if I go onto the TVA website, even the online stream on their web site is out of sync at the same time I happens. You can try sending a message to your provider and see if they can "reset" the channel, but if the issue is at source, there is not much they can do, unless they have another source to switch to.
-
And is it ALL channels, or just some specific channels ? Are you sure it is not the providers stream the issue ?
-
I think that is the one that Buzz tests with.. I think nbs's comment about ss770 was a typo.. Probably an SN770 which is very popular.

**NEW** Buzz 6 App Update - V1.0.17 - Aug 20th, 2024

Posting your wish in one thread is MORE than enough. Don't need to post it more than once. -
First of all, this is NOT the same thing. Gilles is talking about resetting the account from his provider. Gary you see to be saying that you need to try 3 or 4 times to connect before connecting. This is not te same type of issue. Are you guys using wifi, or wired ? Are you sure the box is actually connected to the internet when you try to connect (mostly for Gary) ? I've had friends who used to complain that they needed to try to connect 2 or 3 times before connecting, and they were using Wi-Fi. Turned out the crappy router provided to them by their Internet provider was the source of the lagging connections. Adding a ASUS decent router instead of using the provided junk from the internet providers, and problem went away. A wired connection is always preferred, to avoid these kind of issues. ALSO, if you are putting your box into "suspend" mode using the power key, then you should probably change the power key definition to shutdown. Sure it takes an extra minute to boot, but you have a clean boot every single time. Suspend over time can cause issues on any machine. Even windows machine go wonky after a while if you don't do a proper reboot. Just save yourselves the headache and change the powerkey definition to shutdown, and most random problems go away. Also, what do you mean my asking provider to reset if you are on XC type sub. There is no reset for XC logins on the subscription panel. Reset is only for MAC servers. I have no clue what your provider is doing for a |reset" no an XC server. Something does not make sense. I have the same XC server on nearly 10 different boxes with same user/pass and I switch between them with no issues and never needing to reset an account.

BuzzTV6 Application: Wishlist for New Features and Enhancements
Emporium replied to Stugots's topic in PowerStation
That is identical to mine. Only difference, mine has a little bit of "release notes" history on the left, since mine was updated to that. In your case, you did a reset, so some of that was already there. -
BuzzTV6 Application: Wishlist for New Features and Enhancements
Emporium replied to Stugots's topic in PowerStation
OK.. Because the picture you posted on your FIRST posting, was NOT on buzztv 6 home screen. You were on ""BuzzTV Media Player 2" home screen theme. BTW: Does hitting the "GUIDE" button on your remote, take you to the EPG guide ? Assuming you have a server even defined. If you get a server screen, then buzztv 6 is still not configured. The server screen for Buzztv 6 is separate from the server screen of buzztv 5. -

So CHANGE your home screen to BuzzTV 6... Not modern or anything else. Then launch LiveTV app.. And from the LiveTV app, press "menu" and see on bottom left, what is written for version. If you are at 1.0.16 or 1.0.17 then the message is correct..
