From the server screen, on the top right under the Server ID, you will see an IP URL.. Ex: http://192.168.1.14:8090 While on the server screen, you go to your PC (or phone), open up that url in a web browser and you should see the option to create your servers. NOTE: Make sure you disconnect from any VPN before doing this, because if your VPN is not configured to allow local LAN access you will not be able to connect to the U5. Easier to just disconnect quickly.4 points

That is BuzzTV When you can explain and they can replicate the problem, they make sure to fix it. I've had fixes for some problems sent out the same day. Thanks Buzz.4 points

The problem stems from the fact that you are using an old E1 which is limited to BuzzTV 4. On BuzzTV 5 and now BuzzTV 6, you have the option to not only move your channels around, but there is an option for "Group Channel Numbering". This allows you to not only change the order of the channels in the groups, but also to auto renumber them from 1 onwards, in each group. So each group (including your Favorites groups [yes Groups, since on BuzzTV 5 you can have multiple Favorites groups]) starts at CH 1 and goes up. So you move your channels around and they get renumbered automatically depending on the order you placed them in. The Channel number is NOT forced by most providers. They just provide a list of channels and typically it is up the software you use to number the channels. There are a FEW which may FORCE the numbering, but it is very rare. There are also some ridiculous services that also hardcode a channel number in the NAME of the channel, which is really dumb. This is one of the main reasons that when you are on support forums of different services, when reporting issues, providing a channel number alone is completely useless. Provide the actual name of the channel as you see it in your channel list. Different boxes, software and even different versions of the same software can easily have different numbering depending on how they process the channel list.3 points

No it's not a known bug You can ask your service if they have an alternate url for your service If not pm ALL your details to allaboutbuzz3 points

you can use both. buzz5 is stable however, buzz6 still being worked on to add many more features. im using both and love it. I almost have all the features on buzz6 that I want and im pretty much good to go but depends on your preferences. I would say use buzz6 and if you find issues, bugs, or need features just report to buzz team so they can fix, improve and add if possible.3 points

As mentioned, it came preinstalled on mine also. Even if you get one that "works" you will need to use the mouse cursor option, since the box is NOT netflix certified and the app is very restricted on non-certified devices.3 points

Like allaboutbuzz mentioned, that app does depend on a lot of 3rd party external apps (and it's dependencies have changed a lot in the last few months). So unless you know what you are doing, you will have a hard time. "Advanced Download manager" is available from Google Play store ( search for "com.dv.adm", "ADM" or ecven "Advanced Download Manager" and you'll find it ). BeeTV supports one other download manager also which I don't recall, and I am not in front of it now. But you do need to pre-install the dependencies for any of the options to work. But like I mentioned, even BuzzTV 5 (which is also installed on the P6), with a proper service provider, works flawlessly for download VOD. Bottom line, the problem is NOT the box, it is the setup of your apps. However this is where I will stop, since this is a Buzz/BuzzTV support Forum, NOT a 3rd party app support forum. There are other forums out there if you need support for specific 3rd party apps.3 points
-
That app uses external apps to do a lot of things Like video playback calls out Players to playback what you want to watch, Like VLC, EXO,MX But you have to have these player apps actually installed on the device in order for them to work. The app doesn't give a way for you to install them yourself I think the same thing applies to this Advanced download manager I searched for it on Google Play and its not there, so I am really not sure where its from Sounds like a rabbit hole mission to find this I will forewarn you though about downloading movies etc from apps like BeeTV A lot of times they just stream torrents, and if you download torrents without a VPN. ISPs will report Copyright infringement notices and warn you In Canada its simply just a warning letter, but in America its been known for movie studios to sue people for torrents.3 points

We haven't done an update on Buzz 5 since January so not sure which update you're referring to?3 points

The email was answered quickly, but they figured it just hadn't got to my box yet, but when it did... WOW..2 points

OK.. Try this and see if it helps.. From home screen, go top to setting (Gear Icon)->Apps->See all apps, then Scroll down and see if you have "BuzzTV OTA". If you don't, scroll further down and select "Show system apps", and scroll down to find it. Not the "BuzzTV BT350 OTA" one. So one you find "BuzzTV OTA", select it, and then go down and select "Clear Data". Now get out, and go back to home screen and reboot the box, and see if when you boot it, and go into LiveTV and select the usual menu/settings/check updates as mentioned above, it if helps. If not, send them an email like DU mentioned.2 points

You already posted about your remote in the other thread. Why waste resources in 2 different threads ?2 points

The updates server has surely been decommisioned a while back. This is a pretty old box. You revived a nearly 5 year old thread To get to the latest software for the xpl3000, download the following apk, put it on a USB stick and then use the file manager on the device to install it. https://mega.nz/file/CQNEybab#rF2YQmvphIB_5j7KTjdKnGYcvNw4_8yHzrASAXqAbLs Credits to nbs, for posting it on another forum a while back (so I don't need to reupload it anywhere) :) However, if it still does not behave the way you expect/want it, don't expect an updates. This box has been out of support for quite a while now, and it runs BuzzTV 2.2 points

Now you know the answer to your other question, on WHY there is BuzzTV 5 and 6 on the Powerstation2 points
-
yeah that's exactly what would happen to me it doesn't stay inactive but once your device goes to sleep again it will disconnect I experienced that two or three times before figuring out that at least for me enabling stay awake worked I think your box will be fine now as long as you still have stay awake enabled but if that turns out not to be the case obviously report back here because that would mean that your issue is slightly different than mine if it turns out the google play store works for you going forward I would still report back Just so other customers can know that this solution worked for multiple people2 points

Did you purchase a service? Also buzz 5 is software. Maybe you meant x5?2 points

First of all, this is the xrs4900 forum, not the E5. Secondly, this is a Bell issue. All these companies (including netflix, hulu, disney, etc..) want boxes to be certified, in order to allow them and properly work with their crappy apps (for DRM purposes). Sometimes there are workarounds to be able to trick these apps to sort of work with limitations, but other times there isn't. BuzzTV boxes are designed primarily as IPTV boxes, hence the BuzzTV app that is preinstalled on these boxes. For 3rd party apps, some will work, and some will not, and there is no guarantee or statement saying that anything else will work. I personally don't care for many 3rd party apps since IPTV services provide me all the media consumption that I need. However most of my buddies that use BuzzTV boxes for IPTV, often also have a cheap firestick or google streamer for all those other apps that insist on having "certified" devices to run on. You can try using AptoideTV store (which is preinstalled on buzztv boxes), and you can install different app versions if you want to check and see if there is any other version that works. Otherwise you can try to find different versions at various apk mirror sites and sideload them to see if one works as you would expect it. Good luck with that.2 points

Thanks. I did, but no luck. Then, I saw an option "uninstall update," and once I did that, it started working fine.2 points

Timeshift does NOT work with all streams. Are you using TS or HLS streams ? And if your drive is toast (from the sounds of the other post you made - in the wrong section), then obviously timeshift will not work.2 points
-
Got it figured out. Thanks for all the help. I eventually troubleshot it to the Ethernet coming off my mesh wifi system. Weird that it only affected my IPTV but other streaming apps worked.2 points

There is no way for you to delete it. It is part of the BuzzTV 4 package and this box is very unlikely to get any new updates. The last one was over 4 years ago. It is a very old box, so don't expect any new updates. It is running Android 7.x and BuzzTV 4. BuzzTV is already on Android 13, and BuzzTV 6 on their Powerstation. They still actively support boxes running BuzzTV 5 and BuzzTV 6.2 points
-
They have confirmed it is an issue and are actively working on a fix. Timeframe is about 1 week.1 point
-
if you were having the same issue that I had and you don't put your device on stay awake then the issue will reoccur after your device goes to sleep It might not do it the first time but it will happen again at some point if indeed it was the exact same issue I had1 point
