Gilles1945 Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Is there a new version 892 for X5 128AI ?? Quote

It only fixes a bug with EPG not loading on some MAC servers. If you are NOT affected by this bug, there is no point in getting it (hence it is not sent to all for now). There is no advantage. 1 Quote
PJG Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Came back from vacation to the new update (X5128i) I installed the update now my box will not start up. Any thoughts? Quote

And on channels with the av1 codec, everything works fine. 2 why not all tracks are seen by the main player? The alternative player sees all the tracks but it closes. The interface of the set-top box is constantly rebooting. Stopped loading epg.xml constantly writes it is not possible to load xml.epg. Why did you break everything again? In another room there is x128 buzztv there is an old update so everything works as it should and hvec channels. Then I also noticed if you switch to the 4k channel and press the OK button, white stripes fly out on the whole screen and close all content until you press the back button, then everything is OK. In general, you broke everything again ( So after further review This bug happens on 4K HEVC Channels When you open the Grid Guide or Channel List Were currently working on trying to fix it Sorry for the confusion from previous posts on what we originally thought the issue was. 3 Quote
Opazzno_NooB Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Well done for finding the problem and solving it. I'm very glad that I can continue to watch through my native buzztv player. If possible, solve the problem with displaying all audio tracks on buzztv in a standard player and not in an alternative one. Thank you. 1 Quote

nbs. Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 found it with my phone Here are the files to use Basically need to put the 3 files onto the root of an SD Card The SD Card must be min 2GB, no bigger than 64GB Formatted to FAT32 https://mega.nz/folder/TIlUzZhR#vIOZKq43u3MS3Y3zoFHdkQ It will reset your box, but it will take it to 20220811 FW, which from there can get all Future OTAs You can use this to help others individually as well if you want to via PM or Email. Here is the How To Video for it as well https://mega.nz/file/CJtxhb7I#TcHg2u...z8sticOYByRuB0 The whole process takes about 3-5 Minutes till it boots back in. But this will fix any box with 0624 FW. 1 Quote
Emporium Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 PS: At one point the box may seem lifeless for 30 seconds or so. Don't touch it.. Let it go, it will eventually reboot on it's own. 2 Quote

Ged Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Hi, Read up on this forum regarding my lack of updates. Micro SD card for the downloaded files must be formatted with Fat32 filesystem. However, Fat32 will not install on cards of 32GB or above. I can not obtain a SD card below 32GB locally, here in rural Western Australia. I've contacted BuzzTV support and asked them to mail me a SD card with the firmware on it. Cheers Ged 1 Quote
nbs. Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I an pretty sure users have used a 32gig SD card 1 Quote
Ged Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I do have a 32GB Micro SD card and it accepted a format to FAT32. However, after the format I did a Properties check on the card and it identified as "Filesystem type: msdos". msdos not the same as FAT32 as far as I know, although probably quite close. I have read that SD cards of 32GB and above are unable to accept a FAT32 format. I'm reluctant to use a card formatted to "msdos" rather than "FAT32" as I did read that someone on this forum bricked their box by using the wrong filesystem. The video does emphasise FAT32 on a card with less than 32GB capacity. Maybe I'm being overcautious but I don't want to end up with a doorstop. Quote
