IF the recording is a scheduled recording, no problem since it is spawned on a different thread.   If however I start the recording from the channel I am watching (using the red button) and then later I try to change channel, it will give me the same message (even though I have 2 connections) and no other box is streaming.  Have tried with and without one button record enabled, and no difference.  This is not specific to any box, it is Buzztv 5, even my older xrs4900 does the same.  Never figured out why, but I don't record too often so never really bothered me much.  Always meant to go back and do more testing, but never did.

 

I started a recording and then last channel button

it's still recording

it's been about 1½ years but I think it took about 20 minutes

I never had to change settings and I can watch a different channel while recording

it's possible you may have one that will not update ota and it needs to be updated manually

do you have a micro sd card?

how long have you had the x5?

do you know what firmware version you have?

what option did you select in android recovery screen?

do a hard reset

they both come with 2 volume controls

one for box and other for the source volume you want to use

get a bt-200 or 250 remote

turn the mouse off

you don't use the mouse to change channels

either press guide button

or channel up/down buttons

or ok button to open up category and press page up/down buttons or channel up/down buttons

or after pressing ok button press left arrow button to change the category

I thought you had a channel change issue?

you can also scan the qr code on the card that came with your purchase to load manual on phone
