Can you post what version of Firmware and Software you are running ?  Just to make sure you are running the latest versions, and you are not for some odd reason stuck at an older version.

Software version you can easily find if you press the menu button when watching LiveTV, and it is at the bottom V5.0.xxx.   Firmware you can find in the Updates screen V202xXXYY

both software and firmware versions can be found in updates

obviously notifying the content stream provider is not an option, because they expect it can be disabled by provider IRD hardware directly.

samsung TV’s Plus service  has a workaround they posted by enabling Spanish and flipping back to the English to disable it, so we need that type of feature incorporated into BuzzTV 5.0.919 so the “workaround” can be implemented seamlessly

load an iptv app on your tv and let us know how that workaround worx

  3. what part of it's from source that you don't understand?

instead of not listening request for a new source to be used

it happened last week with another channel and do you know what I did?

I never posted and used an alternate

I just sent him a short trial for another service to test 🙂   And at the same time I pointed out that android boxes sometimes add a space automatically after a "," when you are typing in the URL using the remote.  You need to go back and delete the space.  I typically use the very appreciated web server option since I find it easier to use my PC to enter new servers (especially when using cut&paste).

maybe a youtube video could be added to their video channel so others can know how to use it

it certainly makes it easy and foolproof

It reset with the update and appeared normal but since then I've been unable to load/connect to my tv provider's portal. As I mentioned I spent all day yesterday with my provider trying various approaches from their end but they can't figure it out and think it is a Buzz issue.

ask them if they have any alternate portal url's

Considering I'm in Montreal, I guess I don't see any real issues (since my ISP is based here also).

Guess if you have a VPN server in that geolocates to your city, you can connect, lock the "weather location" in the settings, and then disconnect VPN if you want.  The lock feature when it was added, was pretty handy for those who use VPN.

Maybe in buzztv6 we'll be able to just "choose"/override our location, instead allowing it only to auto detect (like you can do on most android phones).  Or even like the  MSN weather app on a PC..

that feature is only available on the 5 series

My location is incorrect on my Buzzbox. I have tried to fix it and have had no success. I am hard wired to my internet. Any ideas on how to fix that? I checked in the settings menu and cannot seem to change it. Thank you.

it detects the city your isp is using
