An official Apple Music app is not available on the Android TV platform (you can blame apple for that). Unlike generic boxes which use a hacked version of android as typically found on phones, the P6 uses Android TV, which is an official TV optimized version of Android 13 in this case. There is no version I know of which will work on the P6 (or other genuine AndroidTV devices for that matter). Short of downloading a web browser which is compatible with AndroidTV and going through the cumbersome way of using that there might be ways to cast it from another device to the AndroidTV device. But I am not an Apple boy, so I would not be able to provide you instructions on how to cast. The last apple device I ever had in my home was an old Apple 3GS Switched to Android after that, and never looked back. Pretty sure you are out of luck on that one.

Depends on where you are. But just look at the button legend typically on screen for the colored buttons. From the Channel list view, use red button to toggle (as nbs has pointed out above). While watching a channel, if you press down to get channel OSD, you will see it is the blue button from that screen. Bottom line, all functions are typically identified in the legends of the various screens.

Try unpairing it and see if in IR mode it is responsive. If it is responsive in IR mode (obviously you need to point the remote in the general direction of the box), then maybe there is an issue with interference with the bluetooth. Is the box located next to any other wireless devices (Router, cordless phone, etc..), or even some motor load (like a portable AC or something) ? If TV has wifi on it, try just as a test, to disable the WiFi on the TV. For the remote, when I mentioned earlier about dropping it, it is not always a drop. Sometimes it can happen if for some reason someone sits on it, or rolls over on it (plenty of mine split open on occasion if I forget them on the couch and site on them). It is very subtle if you are not looking at it from the side, so you may not notice it, but it raises the plastic ever so slightly that the buttons are no longer "raised". Anyhow, you can see the pics attached, First one is slightly split along the edge and you can see the buttons are flush because of that. The second pic, with it squeezed back together the buttons are raised, making them easier to use and more responsive. Anyhow, just something to check, since I have had 2 friends who have had that issue, and we got a good laugh when I went over and just squeezed the remote back together.

BuzzTV remotes do NOT use coin cells. Every buzztv remote I know uses AAA batteries (IR50, IR100, IR200, BT100, BT200, BT250, BT350, BT400, G20) and even the ARQ series. And very simple to replace by just sliding back cover off. And you say "this issue arose", yet this is your first post to this thread ? What issue ? Do you have 2 accounts (SlowMoe and jawjahpeach) ?
-
Have you read my suggestion in the 2nd post from the top ? Change your power option to "shutdown" instead of suspend. For the remote, I assume you tried replacing batteries with a fresh set ? It unfortunately all depends on how you treat the remote. If it drops a couple of time, or used with wet hands, it can tend to deteriorate pretty quick. Have you checked to see that the remote has not split open along the sides ? When it falls (since mine do occasionally fall), the remote tends to split open on one side (clips let go a bit). Squeezing it shut again, and snapping back into place, tends to fix the issue.

Maybe some keyword it flags that happens to be in some URL or channel description. I have at least 6 different playlists on pastebin and no issues with any of them.

In the meantime, you can always create a free "pastebin" account and create an unlisted text file and put your m3u there. And then point to the "raw" destination. That is exactly what I do to manage my mom's M3U list. And for me it is also convenient, since I can just add or remove things on the list from my place, mom does a refresh and she get's the new entries It's simple, free and it works quite well.

Wow.. Reviving nearly 3yr old threads..

Didn't get it on your X5 That's an update to your TV firmware. From the looks of the message, it is pretty much similar to what my mom had. Probably a Hisense or Haier TV if I had to guess ? If you have internet connected to your TV, it also looks for updates. Got a similar message a few months ago on my mom's TV and it confused me as she tried to explain what she was seeing. And only when I went over, did I realize it was not the box, it was the TV. I just disconnected her TV from the internet, since she has no use for that anyhow.

Did you do a hard reset (pin method) or soft reset (from menus) ? Try the hard reset.

The link to the HDMI to AV converter I provided is from amazon CANADA. And probably a nicer solution that the A/V cable which has piles of different varieties out there. Many of us are from Canada (hence by default I provided . For CAD$16, it would solve your 2+yr old thread Or if you just want to extract the audio, you could just use a digital to optical converter https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CZN4MJ6B or an HDMI audio extractor www.amazon.ca/dp/B0DSVST2ZD All options are pretty cheap.
-
Same E1 box. WHAT theme launcher did you switch to which forced you to reset ? I never had any issue with Buetooth on it either. I'll check again tonight to see if there was any update since my last check that may have broken it.

Firmware v20220919 is the latest and current IPTV version is v5.0.946. So you are running the latest. I would not expect any more firmware updates since no new OS related features will be added. But IPTV software still gets the occasional bug fixes every now and then (like all 4 and 5 series boxes).
-
No offence, and I am glad you find a workaround. But honestly, why is it such a "very important function". I have NEVER had to take a screenshot of any of my buzz boxes. Have no clue why you would need to, other than occasionally maybe having to send a screen snapshot to BuzzTV for reporting bugs. And in those cases, a quick snapshot with phone camera is sufficient. I do occasionally need to capture a short video to provide small tutorials to some of my elderly friends, but I ended up just getting a small cheap USB video capture device from amazon for short video tutorials.

And how are you supposed to protect yourself on errors like that ? It's not like you don't have the pinouts, and if seller said one thing and you got another, then that is not something you could have foreseen. Worst case, guess you can always just buy the required connectors and build your own cable. Or just spend a little bit more and get an HDMI to AV converter, and you can use it with any device. After all this time, I'd probably just get the converter. Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CZNPQ937

Keep in mind that 5Ghz may be faster, but it is more temperamental as you get further away from the router. 2.4Ghz may be slower (but usually plenty for most IPTV) but it is also more stable on longer ranges "IF you have properly selected the right channels to avoid congestion". It can sometimes be a bit of a trial an error before you get it "just" right. Maybe use an app on your phone (I think I used to use Wifi Analyzer) which can graphically show you the analysis of the different channels and which ones seem more congested than others in your area of the home.

Like Ryu said, it is NOT a good idea to use as internal storage. That can cause all sorts of issues, and the day your ssd or usb connection get's flaky, it will corrupt your whole box and be forced to do another factory reset. Format it as portable storage and it can be used for downloading movies, recordings, etc.. as long as you set the options accordingly int he PVR options section. And as a test, IF it is possible, if the freezing persists, try to run an ethernet cable from your router, to the box, to eliminate the possibility that it is some sort of interference with the wifi causing the freezing. Does your router only show a single SSID and handle band steering internally, or does it present 2 SSID (one for 2.4Ghz band, and one for 5Ghz band) where you manually can select the one you want ? Very often many routers can cause glitches in the way they try to do band steering and sometimes constantly try to renegotiate back and forth between both bands. You are better off, if possible to disable any automatic band steering and ideally be able to manually choose a 2.4 or 5Ghz SSID.

For many drivers (including network), you are at the mercy of the chipset vendors. And historically network drivers are a mess with "sleep" or "Hibernate" options. Your combination of hardware (router, switches, dhcp server setting [like lease times], etc..) may be making the issue worse, but with very few exception, using sleep in many of these media boxes is always a toss of a coin, and eventually you need to do a reboot to ensure things are clean. So personally, for the last decade on ALL of my media boxes, if possible, I select that they go into proper shutdown mode instead of sleep/suspend. Sure it take an extra 30 seconds to boot, but at least you know things were all freshly initialized t each boot.

**NEW** Buzz 5 App Update - Version 946 - Jan 13th, 2025
Emporium replied to allaboutbuzz's topic in BuzzTV 5
First thing you can do is post in the correct section for your box, and not hijack a 3 month old thread which is irrelevant to your issue. Then provide more info, like exact model of box you are using (there are a few different X5 models). You Software version (5.0.xxx), firmware version (V202xxxxxxx). Why type of subscription you are using MAC, XC, M3U ? Have you tried using a VPN service ? Many ISP are blocking iptv streams lately and worse during prime time peak hours. Start a NEW thread, and include the pertinent info. Please do NOT continue it in this thread. -
Has nothing to do with the box. That is the nature and limitation of a MAC connection and all servers I know can only do single connection with a MAC based server. Keep in mind that a MAC is supposed to be a unique identifier for a device, and as such, the servers were designed to only handle a single physical connection for each device. Subscriptions using the XC (Xtreme Codes) API are different, they uses a username/password combination and therefore don't have such a limitation. Just like you can log into your favourite website from multiple devices, it is the same for XC. And they implement the connection limitation on the server to allow a certain number of connections, depending on how much you pay. The primary server I use, allows 2 simultaneous connections by default when using XC API. And has the option for 4 or 6 connections (at an extra cost) for those who need that.
-
It all depends on your provider. This will not work if you have a MAC type subscription, since your service needs to offer multiple connections. With an XC API type connection you can have the option for multiple simultaneous connections. You can check what yours has by going into the menu->settings->account info. And you can see the max connections vs active connections (if your account/service has multiple connection options). Keep in mind to record something while watching something else, you need to have at least 2 under max connections, since you need 1 stream for the recording, and 1 stream for your live TV.

Storage (connecting to NAS as external storage)
Emporium replied to buzywoman's topic in PowerStation
There is already a thread dedicated to P6 wishlist. And I had already requested this feature https://stbtalk.com/topic/14151-buzztv6-application-wishlist-for-new-features-and-enhancements/page/6/#findComment-37232
