Right, to hopefully put this to bed. For some reason my 4500 had not shown any firmware update reqd, thanks To allaboutbuzz for sorting that for me. He was however, unsure whether it had anything to do with, or would solve my problem. Anyway, I have done the firmware update & played around with the stream formats & it appears the recordings are playing back at the moment after moving the format from auto to TS. Fingers crossed, that's the end of it. Thanks for everyones help & should anyone else have the same issue, hopefully this will help.

Ok, well I tried to update the firmware before i posted the details on here, & its saying v20220106 is the latest. Can I force an update somehow then ?

As requested. Firmware - v20220106, software IPTV V 5.0.906, Video player - Primary, Stream format- Auto. Hope this helps.

Hi, can I resurect this thread, Im now having the same issue when I do a recording "media format not supported" when I try & playback. Any advice gratefully recd, thanks in advance. Box 4500, running lastest updates.

Yes, Ive tried about half a dozen times unpluging the box from the mains, just says im up to date on 653 even after doing 2015.

Hi , I have a xrs4500 & have just updated using the 2015 method. Its updated to the 5.0.653 version & even using 2015 after it says ive got lastest. Ive rebooted a couple of times but not having any luck in getting the 767 version. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.
