yes you can record if server or stream allows it. four colored buttons usually work as an option button and display information such as, info, categories, record,...etc. so if you are watching live tv you press info button and you might see in the bottom different colors with different options. if you press one of those colored key you will see related information. I dont think you can hide but you can lock it. I dont get what do you mean use by remote with it? you mean if you can remotely login? if yes you can use teamviewr ..etc

go to settings, then click remotes & accessories then on your remote control Press “OK” + “VOL - ” for 3 seconds until Red or green LED “breathing on”. RCU enters pairing mode. Device name is BuzzTV BT-100. keep eyes on screen and your device will connect to your remote once found.

I believe it kills some background running apps and boost up memory. it may not work or do anything with 4500 but works fine on 3900 per one of my friend. but I believe in 4500 you may press home button twice and it will kill background apps to boost ram.

honestly I hate using on screen keyboard. I use my pc keyboard and works fast and I love it. im not sure if you ware of it but buzz have arq-100 remote control that works great or you can buy wireless keyboard that works great. they are cheap, and easy to use and you will love it.

I tried on my 4900 and working fine. you must be doing something that actually not saving properly. I would factory reset one of them and try again. let us know small video for favorites

did you try to switch to secondary player? try to kill apps those are running in the background.

im sure ok button is working fine but only thing might be when that reminder message pops up maybe on that stage ok command does not work with new remote control but does work fine with old remote controls. its weird if it does that but I think you are right must be software related.
