  1. Also did the update last night. I was quite surprised after the update was completed that I had the Buzz6 app sitting there on the Home Screen. I hadn't thought it was there before. Seemed like a nice surprise, or so I thought. You see NBS told me last night about the update so I powered on the SS and there sure enough was an update. And after completion there was that Buzz6 app there on the Home Screen. I run 4 boxes at once thru a HDMI Switch, so I never have to disconnect reconnect HDMI cables, All I do is power up which ever device I want and the HDMI Switch picks up the signal and switches automatically. Easy Peasy. But turns out I had the P6 powered on (which I didn't realize) and at same time as the SS, so the HDMI Switch recognized the P6 and so as per happens, the P6 also had an Update waiting, and that's what I thought was the SS update.... lmao... I thought it was funny, still laughing at myself... I was so impressed that the SS device got the Buzz6 app as a surprise
  2. loaded, installed and rebooted in approx 4 minutes total time
  3. lol, was this an advertisement dig for Zidoo ? Just asking
  4. New Update install successfully confirmation message appeared onscreen about 5 minutes later , with release notes and version numbers listed. The release notes were correct for the version and the firmware version showed correctly but the IPTV version showed as 5.0.937... but in the Update menu it shows as the new 5.0.938 No big deal , but is what I see
  5. Preparing took about one minute. Then Downloading Installing took about 2 to 3 minutes. Then Reboot took about another one minute. Total time about 5 minutes, including reboot. Running WiFi connection Information now shows as --> V20240918 / 5.0.938
  6. looks like Update has been acknowledged now. 'Preparing System Update' is in progress. The preparing progress took only about a minute or so, And now as I type this the Update is Downloading @ 43% currently
  7. X5 128AI / Android 11 V20230815 / 5.0.937 No update message appeared, nor is there an OTA update available thru the Settings>Update Menu. I tried rebooting, didn't help though. The X5 Super Sport however did show a message that there was an Update available. The SS is Android 13 so I figured it was a false message. I did try the Update though, just to be sure. It did not load, but instead gave an error message about a Timestamp_Payload error. This was expected, but the X5 SS did show the Update Message and there was an Update showing as Available in the Update menu and is still showing as Available. While the X5 128AI / Android 11 does not show an Update available, nor will it find one, including with a reboot performed. The device has been powered on about 20 minutes now and is set on Home Screen. I will leave the device powered on to watch for any change.
  8. with one of the older Buzz models I had gotten up to 10 on each of the 3 portals, which makes 30. I stopped after I got to 10/30
  9. you can also see which server portal is connected while viewing LiveTV. While on a channel, press the Down key pad on the RCU and the server name will appear there in that bottom info bar. in the past, naming a server was not so much important, but now naming the server portal with a descriptive name comes into play
  10. yes you did, and he did finally take the advice. I think he felt setting up a VPN would be difficult process with monies involved and etc... , till he did it. Funny tho about the service reset, it was done not minutes before the VPN install, so hard to say which was the fix ... but both are ISP related.
  11. not my box, but yes it did update to 935 -->Confirmed. The 5.0.935 install did not change anything though. The member installed IP Vanish ... but just 5 minutes before that his service was reset as well... but he didn't know that so no test results were reported till after he had the VPN installed and tested with success.,,, so hard to say which fixed the issue but one or the other did.
  12. issue resolved. The service reset or the VPN fixed it. Either way it was an ISP issue.
  13. after some extensive testing, the Caps / Shift thing works exactly as outlined in the release notes. Very nice.
  14. - The Updated Keyboard Shift button, now has 2 different states: short press turn on 1-time letter capitalization, long press turns on capitalization until clicked on Shift again - The Updated Keyboard, now when you long press on buttons with letters , it writes capitalized letters as if Shift was active. I had noticed that before this update that the Caps on the KB worked in a better fashion then other KB's .. they stayed on till you turned off (shift). That was handy. This new update seems even better. I have tested it but not extensively. It works as outlined, as it seemed with the short test I did. Cool beans

    Usb drive

try formatting the drive thru SwissKnife formatting tool. You can find a copy online easy enough.
  16. I did yes. Have tested triple checked my entries. Same entrie will work on other Buzz device. I know m3u and XC work with P6/Buzz6 as per other's reports. That's why I am suspicious it's not an issue that begins with the provider I use and maybe our poster does too. Certain quirks have taken place in the past with Buzz device and this 'provider's m3u code or something, Buzz team has dealt with it directly before, so I don't think they are un-familiar that quirks can happen with this provider , something about their m3u formats or I don't really know
  17. okay, so I entered the same info into Buzz5 thru XC portal and the EPG is showing the correct info, not scrambled.
  18. I have the same scrambled info data showing. I always had since day one with this test P6. It's only when connected thru XC. The m3u Playlist URL does not connect so I do not know about that data. The MAC has no data at all. I have a suspicion these two things (the m3u not connecting and the XC data scrambled) are related in some way and issues starts at the provider and then carries thru to the P6 (Buzz6) somehow. And no I have not tried the Buzz5 yet either. I will do that now. Added note : I have tested it all (including the m3u and XC and MAC) with same 'provider code' on the X5 device and everything works normal there.
  19. the first time I went thru the initial setup, the P6 up did have a WSP/WAPP security menu that appeared on-screen. I have not seen it since thou., If you have no issues with starting over with a Factory reset to the device, try that for that initial menu option.

    Usb ports

just tested a USB drive here. It shows up thru the Settings Storage menu. I tried both USB ports and it showed in both. Did you get a on screen message asking if you want to use ES File Explorer to handle the device ? If you didn't get that message then your drive is not being recognized, or so it seems. Try re-formatting the drive using the PC first. And there is an App Installer in your apps. Insert the drive again and open that app to see if the drive is shown. OOOps, i am using Buzz6, I see you mentioned Buzz5
  21. Just noticed the Server Name shown in the lower channel info bar when on LiveTV. Nice addition. Helps alot when dealing with multiple portals.

  22. yea, probably a beta update as it showed 'Candidate defined' in the notes, or something like that.. and was pushed to my device. It may have been mainly just a fix for that (=) key addition.

    EPG

another way to use multiple EPG URLs but not at same time is to create new multiple m3u Server slots in the server setup menu with a different EPG in each. Then you'd just have to switch between server slots to change the epg
  24. The Buzz team is on top of their game. Fantastic Newest Update Buzz 6 V1.0.16 - added "=" to the keyboard in Add Server menu thnx for the alert on this NBS ... cool beans:)
  25. Using the Total Commander File Manager's copy and paste functions would be a way to get around this. But I have not yet attempted that with this P6, but have done it with other Buzz devices.
