How do you know its a 4000 update?
Please take your time and post all your info
go to server settings ,hit menu and post version number at bottom

try hitting the back button It will ask if you want to go into ir mode
say yes then hit home button ,settings remotes and see if it will pair theree

Unless you post in detail how you are setting it up there is no way to know what you are doing wrong

I have set up a box with buzz 2 software on it and I see the menus you are talking about
I tap the green button until i get to the one I want and stop at the one i want
I dont see how it can scroll past the one you want??
I dont think the sw would be any different

Your last comment makes absolutely no sense There are always issues with a small percentage of boxes doing updates over the net
That's is not just buzz either
Email buzz with your mac addy and server ID and they should be able to help you I had issues with one box and they switched update servers for me
You could also private message allaboutbuzz with that info and if he comes online he can help you here

you didnt do it right You can feel the reset button if you push gently Once you know you have to hold the reset button in and power stick on
Keep holding it until the screen appears ,you use volume buttons on remote to go up and down in menu

I havnt done a pin reset on a stick yet but it erases everything and starts setup again when done
I am not near my stick right now but I can advise better later this afternoon
There is a guide in the xrs 4500 section on how to do a hard reset
It should be the same process except the hole is on the side near the ir hole

Do you have a friend with a buzz unit?
Almost all the buzz remotes will work except the arq100

You hardwired? Or wifi? Did you try the other media player?
Install a speed test on your unit and check your speeds
Is it just live tv that is buffering?
I didnt notice any difference with live tv on 5 different servers

Just another note I dont think the issue is the remote I think the stick is locking up on that screen Even if bluetooth is not working it should still work as an IR remote

I was able to do a temp fix by going to settings, advanced settings power key definitions and selecting suspend A quick hit of power key will turn it off (for me anyway)
Try it and report if it works for you

In menu ,configuration, do you have start on boot on?
If that doesnt help we just have to wait for fix
