Betatester Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 CoreELEC installation instructions for use with BuzzTV X5 (4G/1Gbit). Cheers, Team CoreELEC 1 Quote
Emporium Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I'm assuming it will just run off the MicroSD, and ignore the onboard eMMC ? Just curious on WHY you would consider doing this on a new box, with so much going for it ? If you want Kodi, just install Kodi as an app. CoreElec is great on older devices if they are out of support or have no dedicated IPTV app like BuzzTV5, but I just don't see the point on using it on a Buzz box, and the latest flagship one at that. 2 Quote
Ryu Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) I 100% agree with you @Emporium. there site says but im not risking it "Installation to eMMC is currently unsupported" Edited July 22, 2022 by Ryu Quote

This edition of CoreELEC was developed in collaboration with BuzzTV, and can only run from external media, which should make it impossible to render the device unusable. Sometime in the future, after more testing, this might change. We are currently encouraging people to test and report issues back to us by submitting a system log via our user forums. It came up with SORO logo and constantly going thru recycle. I am waiting to see if it is going to boot after few attempts. Yes, I renamed the file as mentioned in the instruction and copied it to the root folder. Quote

After several reboots Corelec application screen came up. The issue now is, remote keys don't work. I cannot select the "next" button. Quote
