Guys , please can you support other formats mainly Dolby vision plus HDR10+  I got my Buzztv powerstation 6 unlimited delivered this week firmware was up to date nice and responsive just lacking Dolby Vision my Tv supports all the formats just hoping you could get a firmware fix to sort. Thanks

HDR10+ and Dolby Vision needs the CPU to support it. As it's hardware decoded

They also both require a license/$$. 

 

Both are not even available via Rockchip.

Since the update yesterday, the box keeps loosing internet connection, I have to reboot it to get the connection back.

reboot your network, plus try to forget and reconnect to network and see if that helps.

it's wired not wireless, and the modem was just rebooted. This is just from the update it never happened before the update.

if you don't provide all the info then we won't know and have to assume only. so lets see if after reboots works fine. if not then try a different port or ethernet cable or swap router if its from isp.

Have you power cycled the box since the update ?  UNPLUG the box, wait 10 second and then plug it back it to fully reset the radios.

Also, may sound stupid, but if you have a Dlink switch in your network, try to remove it and go direct to router for now.  Dlink switches are known to go belly up randomly and cause havoc on existing networks.

Anyone having issues with live tv channels not tuning in. I go to a channel to tune in it wont come up until after i switch to a different channel then come back to it or i switch to vod and tgen back to live

Also its mac server. And if i refresh tge channel will pop up. But everytime i change channel i have to refresh or switch to vod abd  back to live to get the channel to start

So its the CPU SUPPORT not supporting Dolby vision hdr10+ that's crazy we should be moving with the times meaning Future proof. I have cheaper android boxes around the £200 Dune HD Homatics box R 4k PLUS and NVidia shield 2019 that support all the formats  not much thought into build quality then they must be on a tight Budget then to design the Buzztv Powerstation 6 that's a bit of a a let down in my views the Buzztv Powerstation 6 unlimited is fast and responsive just no support for the other video formats if it did support all formats then I would say this would be a Nvidia shield killer and another thing in the instructions why is stating not to connect to sound bar I have a Sony sound bar and it supports 4k ultra HD  and I connect my other android boxes to it with no problems picture formats are great and sound is great Dolby Atmos - can someone explain this                                  Thanks Guys

I have read that on troy point few days ago just stating he said  (NVidia shield killer  I agree with the updated hardware yes )- (but not compatibility with other movie formats and sound formats no)

Your setup is not the NORM unfortunately, it is the exception.   So typical designs are for the masses.

Most looking for many of these features are also looking for a box that is netflix/disney+/etc.. certified which this box is not.

That is why there are so many brands/models out there.

My TV supports the formats too so I just use pass through on the Buzz and let my TV do the work. It doesn't bother me that the Buzz doesn't have them onboard too. You said your TV supports all formats. Then just let your TV do the work.

Where is the setting to allow video pass through?  I'm pretty sure I missed it.

It's in Settings--Device Preferences--Decode & Bitstream--Audio Device--HDMI Passthrough

 

It passes through both the audio and video formats through HDMI

Correction - the info above is for AUDIO formats

For video, it's Settings--Device Preferences--Display Preferences--Display & Sound, and I have HDR and Resolution set to AUTO. My box is plugged directly into my TV so by choosing Auto the Buzz is handing off the video formatting for the source to my TV to decode.

HDR Resolution set to Auto yes lets your TV source handle the HDR format but doesn't work with Dolby vision or HDR10+ . settings on the Buzztv powerstation 6                        for HDMI Passthrough is for audio only,  can support team create a firmware which will allow video formats passthrough integrated into HDMI Passthrough. with audio 

 Yes In Display Preferences--Display & Sound, yes you can set HDR and Resolution set to AUTO to allow Tv to Decode the format but doesn't work with Dolby Vision or HDR10+   I have my  storage server with all my own Movies I have ripped to iOS's or BDMV folders they all have HDR AND DOLBY VISION been testing this they just work with HDR and doesn't allow passthrough for other video formats to the Tv to automatically Decode. I understand the cost for License's for Dolby Vision but at least give the option in settings for video formats passthrough so the Tv does this.
