Anyway, on formatting your micro SD card, you should use Exfat.  Why? Interchangeability between mac and pc for one, but more importantly, better memory management . NTFS is better suited for hard drives. Of course, either will work. 

Also,i tried a 256 GB microsd card and it was recognized fine.

After recording a scheduled recording the box will not shut down but it does go back to the home screen and no bandwidth is used after the recording is recorded (at least that is what it does on the U5 box).

You say "wake and record the program", but truth is, if it wakes, it goes to main menu and launches the record.  It never launches liveTV.  The recording is done in the background if I recall.  you will see a message come up on the bottom middle of the home screen, but that is it.  It doesn't launch liveTV if it is just a recording.

Yes I found the hard reset link instructions , but it was running 5.0653 and finally it updated to 5.0796 but that is old: 01/26/23

but I’m still waiting on the 5.0.799 stable release that was streamed last week on 3/16/23

I sent email request with MAC to customer arrive requesting they push down 5.0.799 to this mac

for remotes that do have backlight it shows that in specs/details for those remotes

they can't update sitting on a store shelf

if your stream froze the recording will not work

make sure time/date is correct on box

I mainly use aptoide

it tells you if it's compatible and been tested
