if you have one button record turned off scroll to the bottom after pressing red button and save

but that relies on the server storing past programs

are you doing it from guide?

does it have the catchup symbol showing for those channels?

there's plenty of good exteral drives out there for less

it's been that way even as far back as buzztv 2 boxes

try a factory reset

if that don't improve things do a hard reset

you don't even mention the model you have
