Why would you even think they would ?  They have only even just VERY recently released new boxes with Android 13.  And Buzz does not typically upgrade the OS on their boxes.

 

Were not capable of upgrading OS via OTA, due to Amlogic changing how partions work for each new OS/SDK they release on every Chipset.
They have been doing this since Android 5 basically.

Reproducing it does help more, but we have a built in logger for issues like this as well.

One thing I noticed (not sure it it has always been like that), is that the CH+/CH- work fine in the Channel list view (actually they behave like PG+/PG- like they do in BuzzTV 5).  However when you go left to bring up the categories, you need to scroll through them one by one (CH+/CH- have no effect in the category list).  And if you press the actual PG+/PG- on the remote, then the list does scroll up/down by a page at a time, but nothing is selected, so when you try to then use the DPAD, it selects the next/previous category of where you were.

Also, same when you are in the EPG view, you need to scroll through one at a time.  In this case, even PG+/PG- have no effect.

If you can eventually enable the CH+/CH- shortcuts to behave as PG+/PG- in the category list and EPG views/menus.

Also noticed that the PIN entry is a little "different" .  On BuzzTV 5, if you select a locked channel, you get the Pin ENTRY and you can enter it directly on the remote (ex: 0000), and press OK, and it would accept it as end of input and unlock the channel.  On BuzzTV 6, if you get a PIN entry, the keyboard auto pops up, and you can enter 0000 as an example directly on the remote, but if you then press OK, it will register as having selected the "1" button which is on the top left of the on screen keyboard.  You would have to hit the back button to get rid of the onscreen keyboard (and even then, not enough, because if you hit OK, it brings the keyboard back up).  One you get rid of the keyboard, then you have to hit down on the dpad, "twice for some reason", to select the "unlock" button.

Will take a look. We do have the ch +/- on a to do list on our Dev tool to make work on the places you mentioned already. Just haven't had time to get to it yet 

I think we will remove the keyboard pop up on the locked channel. One of our sellers recommended it. But it doesn't really make sense.

However found one more to add to the back of the queue   Not sure if it is by design, but I find it strange.

 Obviously not all features are implemented yet.  But for now, there is no option for group numbering (which renumbers all channels in a group starting at "1").  So using w*** we have a little over 11000 channels and all numbers from 1 all the way up to 11000+.  But if I am in a specific category (except for ALL CHANNELS), and a key in a channel number that happens to be in another category (ex: 3027 which is Adult swim: Rick & Morty in my case), it will ignore it and not switch.   If I key in a channel number that is in my category, it will change to that channel.

Obviously Buzz is free to code it however they prefer, but I would think that, if group numbering is off (assuming it is eventually added), then entering a channel number on the remote, would first check if it is in your current category (to ensure favorite categories are respected), and if it is in the category you are in, then it should just tune into that channel (no need to change category).  However, if it is NOT in your category, it should switch to the category it is found in, and switch to that channel.

And super low priority was my previous Feature request 1: get the PADLOCK  symbol preceding the category name for locked categories in the channel list and the "organize favorites" list ?

V1.0.39 Sent on the weekend to testers should fix up the Entering of a channel # from a different category
However I did find 2 small bugs with it on the channel that is highlighted after entering it on a few menus. So we will fix that.  Try it out and let me know

Group channel numbering we will add to the configuration menu later on.

Detailed view wouldn't be hard to add, as its just the categories menu always open and able to navigate left to right with it still open.  We plan to add a lot of the missing configuration menu options from Buzz 5 onto 6 soon

We already have Fav Groups feature
You can access this when you're viewing the categories in the channel list.  By pressing the Yellow button.
We will look into adding a Select All option

The preview screen is there as well on the Home Screen. While you're watching Live TV, just press the Home button and you will see the preview screen in the bottom right corner.

We will be adding Multiple connections and Multi Screen feature later on.

What can be done?

Factory Resetting a box that already took an update

Will always re install the current version you're running. There is no way to revert back to the previous version 

Try running Analiti app tests and make sure your -db rating is good for signal + your speeds.

It seems any X5 users that are still running 20220624 Firmware is getting this issue.

That is what we are seeing on our side right now

Only a Hard Reset will resolve this for now, but you still won't be able to get the update as that version of Firmware cannot get Updates.

You can both PM me your MAC from the bottom of the box
So I can check something on our side
