How to change weather location

On x5 box Is there a way to get the weather on the homepage to give me my weather and not the weather of my vpn location?

Thanks a lot @nbs.I was just curious as I run vpn all the time. Hopefully someone at buzztv could change this in a future update.

I can't find any other weather settings besides the choice of Celsius or Fahrenheit, but nothing for location.

I’ve only found C & F to change. Looks like it’s ip location based from what I can make of it

it's based on your isp location

Does it have to be?

Would be nice to see my local weather, since the feature is there. I, like many others, run my VPN all the time. Does me no good to see another city or country.

One solution @Flyinghigh is to use wolf launcher and install a weatherwidget. I know this isn't a real solution but I like my weather on my home screen too so that works for me.

I just pick a server close to me

That works dishuser as well. I might not want to be on the closest server all the time, though.

in my case it's necessary since my ISP bounces me from toronto to montreal and I'm not near either...lol

Maybe it could be added to a wishlist for future update? Don't know, but would be nice.

We discussed this internally

What we can do is add a Lock Location Feature to Buzz Utilities

Basically you have the VPN turned off, let it use your real IP location to get the weather

Turn on Lock Location

Now no matter if you turn the VPN On or Off
It will just use the weather for the Location you locked it to.

The weather locater is now based on Longitude/Latitude 

So am not sure what's going on there

if I reboot my modem/router it will change to Toronto
