Raymond Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Please help. When I select some ppv movies it displays "Media format is not supported ". I am using a BuzzTV XRS4000. Is there another Media player that can be downloaded and installed to fix this problem? Quote
Ryu Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 (edited) do you have latest buzz5 installed? try to switch player (hit the menu button configuration ,media player) and see if that help. Edited March 3, 2022 by Ryu 1 Quote

Robert_Freemont Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 I realize this thread is several month old but if I can add an advice to any future reader who may run into the same issue; I would like to suggest a VLC player as it will play just about any Codec you throw at it. I have been using it for many years and have yet to come across a media that does not play on VLC. Quote
nbs. Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 One of the buzz players is a version of vlc 1 Quote

Robert_Freemont Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Judging by the level of sarcasm, it sounds as if some are on high-horse. Just be careful you don't fall off that horse. 1 Quote

The Default/Backup Player on our apps is VLC already Its just Libvlc, so the VLC player without the GUI from the VLC app Its built into our app You can change players in the configuration menu of our app 1 Quote

Robert_Freemont Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 My comment/post was purely based as an addendum as the search results did nor reveal anything pertaing to the VLC player. Yes, I am aware there is an app already installed on most Buzztv stb's but I was also adding to using VLC for other OS platforms. If STBTALK wants to be a forum for a lot of people seeking help/advice on iptv hardware and all the additional information, being respectful to each other should start with an introspective view. Off the cuff remarks are never appreciated or helpful to the public forum enivironment. Cheers. 1 Quote
nbs. Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 Stbtalk is the official buzz forum It's for support of buzz only 3 Quote
Emporium Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 This forum has nothing to do with other os platforms. It is BuzzTV only. You revived a 9 month old thread (which there was no need for), to make an irrelevant comment, regarding a box which you clearly don't know much about. The fact that VLC is one of the included media player choices is a known fact to anyone who takes some time to read any of the other threads here. This thread should be closed. If you have a need for support with a Buzz product, you are welcome to start your own thread. Cheers, and Happy holidays. 2 Quote
