Hi

I appreciate these boxes are now discontinued, but I have not had any firmware updates since forever & from memory, I may have had the last one I had pushed to my box from a kind person on here as the ota seemed not be be working.

My current firmware is V20220919, IPTV Ver 5.0.946. Can someone advise if this is in fact the latest version & does this box actually still recieve updates now ?

Thanks in advance.

Firmware v20220919 is the latest and current IPTV version is v5.0.946.  So you are running the latest.

I would not expect any more firmware updates since no new OS related features will be added.  But IPTV software still gets the occasional bug fixes every now and then (like all 4 and 5 series boxes).

A few days ago, I was able to convert an XRS4500 from 4 to 5.

By entering 2015 in the Check update section, a Beta version appeared for downloading. After that update, it automatically installed the latest firmware: V20220919, IPTV Ver 5.0.946

I'm trying to update another XRS4500 and receive the message: No Beta Update Available

Does anyone have a workaround for this Beta issue so that I can update to the latest firmware?

You could try a reset and if tgat doesnt work Email buzz with your issue and device id They can check to see if it's on update server or force an update

I have already emailed Buzz to express the issue. They suggested that I post on this forum to receive an answer from someone.

I was wondering if I could do a backup of the first box and restore it to the second box.

Did you do reset?

How many times did you type in 2015?

Did you give them your device id to check?

I did the reset. Did the BT remote pairing, then it installed Chrome. It went to version 520, then was updated to 530.

Typed 2015 a dozen times and am receiving the same message, No Beta Update Available.

By the way, when I emailed Buzz, I did give them the Box ID.
