Dark picture

I'm working with the Buzz 6 powerstation for the last couple of days and find that some of things that I'm looking at have a very dark picture. Almost like there is way too much contrast. This problem is most relevant on Kodi movies, stremio and Tivimate. l have tried making adjustment to the picture settings in the "settings" part of the powerstation and also to my TV but nothing seems to help this problem. Everything worked fine on my Buzz 5 which I had running before I installed the Buzz 6. Is there any recomendations that you can give me to help this problem.

The option to adjust picture settings was posted in the "BuzzTV6 Application: Wishlist for New Features and Enhancements" thread.

Also, keep in mind that this is a BuzzTV forum.  There is no specific support for 3rd party apps.   If the issue appears using the BuzzTV apps (LiveTV, VOD, TV Series), then that is a different story and will be eventually addressed.  But something that is 3rd party app specific is not.

Do you have HDR turned on?

I was able to brighten the picture up:

Settings-Device Preferences-Display&Sound-HDR-HDR Mode-Vivid Max Brightness-1200

Yeah I have the powerstation p6 and it have the darkness in the movies

Don't know how to get rid of the darkness in the movies on my powerstation p6 8gb try everything buzztv direct is no help

Try the settings in the TV it doesn't work try  settings in buzztv powerstation  p6 nothing do not seem to work still see the darkness in the movies and the t v shows try everything

You have to be a little more specific on which settings you tried on the p6

What's your brightness set at?

Are you sure it is not your TV that does not like something ?  I used to have an LG TV and in order to give me real dark blacks, when I watched movies that were a little on the dark side (like UnderWorld), it would drop the intensity to give me deeper blacks (but it was WAY too black for me).  Was really annoying.  Even when watching credits it was even more noticeable if black background.  When you had plenty of white writing on screen it would me "normal", but once you got near the end where it is one name at a time scrolling slowly, it wold get so dark, I could not see anything.  Dumb thing, only way to turn that dumb feature off, was to put the TV into "store demo" mode, where it just cranks up the brightness and turned off the auto deep black feature..

Same device, on my Sharp Aquos, did not have that issue at all.

Also, be more specific.  When you say you are watching movies, can you clarify if it is using BuzzTV 6 VOD/TV Series app, or are you using some 3rd party app like Kodi ?  And if you are using BuzzTV 6, have you tried changing the player for VOD/TV Series to External and using something like VLC ?

are you using the hdmi cable that came with it?

have you ruled out the service?
