In my case, recorded shows will not fast forward, at the beginning , or for the first time, unless I pause first.

On recorded shows recorded before, or after, 10122022, will go back 9 min on a FF before the shows goes ahead(FF).

And all recordings will not allow a "resume" play.

On  a TV series I do not get a "resume" play option.

My be I'm the only one. I guess we wait and see.

no issues ff or rw on recording

  2. instead of playing 20 questions perhaps close this sub forum

then for the models that have buzztv 5 remove the word beta for those sub forums

at least it will take the guess work out of what members are using seeing as about 90% of them don't even post what model they have

    Chris,

I am having similar audio sync issues with the Buzz X5 app with primary player.  TiviMate with MX Player Pro on my X5 does not seem to exhibit this issue .  For me, it makes watching live TV  a total PITA having to refresh the channel.  Sometimes it can be a only slight mis-sync and we can live with it, other times it is totally disruptive and we have to switch to TiviMate or my other Android TV device.  I also find that the secondary player is better from an audio sync standpoint, but it doesn't seem to have as good a picture as the primary player.  I will give it a longer trial and see if this impression persists.

Wish there was an option to select MX Player Pro or VLC as an external player.  Could be that one or both of these are the Buzz "built-in" players, but I have not seen this info anywhere on the blog.  Not sure what technical issue could be the cause of this audio sync issue ?

it's been posted many times that vlc is one of the video players

I just had some auto buzz 5 upgrades in the past few days and immediately noticed that when I shut down the player (Tivimate app, don't use the buzz player) and go back to the main menu and switch HDMI input sources on my TV to cable, the light stays blue and the 4900 does not go to sleep. This is confirmed also by my ethernet router which shows the connection as "active"

Previously within seconds of switching inputs on my TV the 4900 light would turn red and the unit would go to sleep. It is now not doing that and stays blue all the time

I tried hitting the power button on the 4900 which is set to "suspend" and it shuts off the picture and switches auto to my other HDMI input (cable) but the blue light on the 4900 remains on and my router continues to show an active ethernet link.

    Solutions?

what options do you have selected for hdmi cec?

On buzztv 5 as long as you are using the Primary player, and Timeshift (TS) is turned on in the setting (and a decent USB storage used), then you should be able to pause LiveTV.

I can pause live tv without having ts on

so what happens if I never update my X5 buzzTV box. I read other people's boxes turn into bricks.

then you don't get the improved features

as for bricked it was only a handful and they were replaced

Are you familiar with tivimate, besides favorites is there a feature where I can save channels that I was watching. Like on tivimate I can save up to 10 channels that I previously watched.

hold last button for 2 seconds and last 24 channels show up

or you can make a favourites list

press yellow button to add or remove
