buzztv isn't a new product I've been using them for 8 or 9 years I had a formuler z8 that I had a hard time giving away ..lol my mom is almost 90 and never bugs me how to use the box so it's obviously not hard to use

my power button turns tv/box on or off at same time sounds like you don't have cec configured properly

my bt 400 controls the tv volume but not the box I can reverse that so it controls box volume but not tv volume

how many volume up/down buttons does remote have? on my bt-200/250 I have 2 sets

tv series/left arrow button now you should see a list of categories in my favourite category if I select deadliest catch I get thumbnails for every season if I select a season I get thumbnails for every episode

set your tv to about 60% volume if you want to control both the tv and box volume get a bt-200 or bt-250 remote

do both have the same amount of channels?

turn force volume off turn your speaker up to about 70% and box volume should control it

are you being told your mac is already in the system? if so just change last 2 digits keep in mind that it's hex a to f and 0 to 9

did you hold button and apply power?

xml epg is what you should be using? otherwise it will continually try grabbing epg

what video player are you using?
