    I guess I'll have to add that it is indeed sad that DRM was not utilized in this unit.  Nowadays everyone wants 4K UHD.  Since very few IPTV servers have it and pretty much none of the free movie sites have it, that leaves the paid services which this box is unable to achieve.  Loading up 4K content via USB or other means doesnt require an expensive unit.  So why not release the 'latest greatest' type units like other majors are doing if you're going to have a $150-200 media player.  So I find myself using it for IPTV ease and new movies in 1080 from quality Torrent sites.  When new series via Netflix or Prime or YouTube or Apple+ are to be watched the box gets switched off and another device utilized.  adding Widevine L1 - DRM would have cost another $5-6 USD per unit and a license fee.  Hmmmm

    Even if you have Widevine L1 DRM on an STB

    Doesn't automatically give you instant 4K for Netflix + Prime + Apple+ etc...

    Apps like these, require the device to get certified directly with the app creator.
    Netflix won't approve an AOSP STB for 4K or even their TV App at all

     

    If we used Android TV, Netflix wants 1 Million+ devices to be sold per year over a 3 year period
    We have sat in meetings with Netflix about this.

    There are sort settings in episodes list, just use the green button
    Allow you to change from 0-9 to 9-0

    Or you can use page up/down buttons

     

     

    We don't have a way to do a search for episodes

    This was fixed via PM

    But I will list how here

     

    If you have this issue

    When in VOD

    Press the menu button

    Go to configuration

    Scroll to the bottom and turn 

    Server Favorites On

     

    Do a reboot and it will start to work

     

    Majority of servers require Buzz app to save favorites to an internal database on the box. While a small amount of others have it stored on their server. 

    So we just put an on/off switch to make it work for ones with this issue.

Howerve, whey I shedule a recording and keep it off it does not record the video. An entry is clreated in the PVR section with the program title and shedule details. However the file is showing as null.

    You cannot record while the box is off

    That is why it didn't work for you.

    I saw that the wi-fi is a bit better than the xr4000 due to the mimo add on( I have 500mbps plan ,on the xrs4000 speed test I have 180mbs on 5g, with xrs4500 I have 250-300mbps ),the video quality is better ,the EPG loads a little bit faster but that depends on the server too.

    Since is a fresh release I runned in to 1-2 small bugs:

    -If I install apps from Google Play or web or memory stick I can't see them on the app drawer to see them there I have to reboot the box , another small bug is that the ARQ 100 remote froze randomly and can't be used ,is coming back only if I unplug and plug back the usb dongle.

    If I missed something please add it on to this thread 🙂 ,all in all I like the New XRS 4500 and I think with the new update coming will be one of the Best IPTV boxes on the market.

Just to complicate the situation, i own a panel to subscribe some customer and the problematic unit show the wrong ip, util i do the trick with the vod (reconnect the server), so i not so sure about the fact that the server id are unique. The tech of the service told me it could be a duplicate mac, but nothing else to correct the problem, like do it yourself(and i'm polite here)

    Another quick fix for the guide that could be fix very easily, when i'am watching for example the french channel 485 and i enter the favorite and it the same channel, it never enter the favorite, it stay on the french section, or vice versa

    My version of buzz 4.0 409

    Am a little confused

    As you stated in PM that a 2nd unit you're using don't have this issue. 

    And you suspect using backup on 1st issue is what caused it.

    When you say freezing though, you mean the channels are freezing with the loading circle?
    We haven't heard this from feedback recently

    Since I used the same provider/channels, it does seem like a problem with the Buzz players.

    A lot of times this is caused because your box no longer has enough internal memory.

    While in Live TV, we suggest you press the menu button
    Then go to PVR and make sure you have no recordings taking up internal storage space.

    Recordings can take up 1GB per hour of recording, and the boxes internal memory is less then 5GB after apps + Android OS.
    If the box has no internal memory left, then it cannot take updates.

    So this is probably why you had these issues

     

    It's been back online since Thursday afternoon (Eastern Time) without any issues since then.

    Just tried a few shows and it automatically played the next episode after one finished

    there should also be no need to unplug ,Hold power button down and select reboot

    Some providers have a built in feature that stops streams if a box is left on for like 3-6 hours
    This is a built in feature into their backend to help save them bandwidth

    A simple channel change will reactivate the stream when this happens.

    With this remote, I’m finally 100% happy with my BuzzTV XRS4000! 👍

    The luminous remote was made to be sold separately 
    So it is not the one being shipped + included on the 4000s

     

    We will look into this though based on your new information to see why such a difference.

    So you can retry the updates on your boxes and it should work now
