  1. Works like a charm!!
  2. IPTV Version is 5.0.727, One Button Record is off (on both boxes).
  3. I'm aware of that. So, going back to my first paragraph, what is causing the power pad to pop up, (and the other recording issues) when recording on the 4500 MAX. They do not happen on the 4500.
  4. It shows 1 connection. Shows my MAC ID, Loggin (blank) and an expiry date.
  5. Not sure if this helps, but I used to have these problems on the 4500, but somehow they disappeared. Connection is with the original IPTV service. MAX is on a different provider. Version is actually .727.
  6. I'm not sure what your asking? I have one (MAC server) connection on each box.
  7. Hi.I know this has come up before, but I'm really having trouble with recording on the 4500MAX. First, the power / restart / screenshot pad appears whenever I do any recording (EPG or Manual, in LiveTV or Home Screen). In Home Screen mode, all recordings will fail if PIP is off. In Home Screen mode the channel will not change to the pre-set recording channel even with PIP on, and recording fails. What's interesting is that I have two boxes (4500 and 4500MAX), both set up exactly the same; same settings, both have device health services disabled, both running BuzzTV .725. None of these issues appear on the 4500. Recording works perfectly. I can actually start a recording from home screen, no PIP, then go to Live TV and change channels without the current recording stopping. The only difference between these boxes is that they are on different IPTV servers. Can anyone offer any suggestions why the Max won't work and the 4500 does? It's driving me nuts!
  8. Thanks, now I understand how it works. Appreciate your reply. Regards, Dave J.
  9. Notes said: -Fixed locked category couldn't be hidden. I assumed this was referring to the locked channels.
  10. I received the .721 update on the 4500, and the locked channels are still visible in the guide when the locked category is set to hidden.
  11. That's not the issue I'm having. My power definition is set to suspend so that I don't wait the 15 - 20 seconds for the TV to come up. The remote will put both the TV and the box in suspend, problem is when I push the power button it also acts as a default change to channel 8! As it stands now, without start LiveTV from suspend it's either a multi-step process (power resume, push OK, change from channel 8), or the longer wait to watch TV (power on, boot to LiveTV). Sadly I'm finding a few more bugs than I would have expected from a new product (see my post on hiding locked channels).
  12. Holding the power button down will not bring up the power pad either.
  13. I tried that setting as well, but when paired to the TV the box will only go into suspend; it won't shut down.
  14. The box goes into standby, and the TV shuts off. As the X 5 won't start in live TV yet the box starts in the Home Screen. When I hit LiveTV I'm on channel 8. I change the channel to 24, and when I hit power off, 8 appears in the upper left corner and everything shuts off. Turn on, hit LiveTV and I'm back on channel 8 again. However, if I go from LiveTV to the Home Screen before shutting down nothing appears in the upper left. Turn on, hit LiveTV and I'm on the channel I was watching.
  15. I paired my remote with my LG TV, turned on CEC, use auto TV set up. Everything works, except when I push the power key on the remote channel 8 appears in the upper left corner before entering standby. It doesn't matter what channel I'm on when I press the power key, it always goes back to channel 8 every time I shut down.
  16. On my X5 I've locked a number of redundant live TV channels, and then set locked channels as hidden in categories, however they still appear in the guide. Any thoughts?

    New X5

Thanks for your reply NBS. It's a great feature to have, but not a necessity. On another subject, you asked me what software version I was using on my strange recording quirk question (5.0.714). Is there any news on that?

    New X5

Just received my X5 and am going over the the menu settings, and I can't find the back-up and restore!
  21. After running a few tests the recording issues I had with the PVR are resolved, however when scheduling a delayed recording the box no longer comes out of standby to record the program. This was working previously.

    Updates

Can someone please tell me what was covered in the .713 update? I usually take a screen shot, but I cleared the screen before I had a chance to read it.

    Live TV

Try this; When in LiveTV, hit menu. At the bottom left you will see your firmware version, should be 5.0.705 or so. Go to settings/configuration/liveTV and select secondary player. Then scroll down and select boot to live TV. Go back to settings and select exit. This will re-start BuzzTV 5. Let me know if this helps.
