  1. I found that when it freezes, before it reloads the pop up widow displays exit the app or wait, which he mentioned in his post. There is enough time to exit the app, and you're left in the home screen. Then you can get into the settings.
  2. Had this happen to me once. Before you do the hard reset, go to apps, BuzzTV5, and clear the data and cache. That worked for me. You may have to re-enter your server info; it was a while ago and I don't remember.

  5. I noticed that the weather app is no longer updating on the Home Screen, although when you enter the settings wheel it is up to date. If I exit and restart the BuzzTV5 app, it updates on the Home Screen . Is this related to the original issue?

  7. Yes. It's when going back in the single EPG as opposed to the rewind button.
  8. In Live TV, press right arrow, go back in time. Then press up (or down) arrow, then OK to go back to live TV. That's where the glitch occurs as the channel will go to the top or bottom of the category instead of up (or down) one channel.

  11. Sorry, I had to correct a few omissions. If you're in live TV and use the reverse to go back in time, then push the up or down arrow, then OK the channel will change to live TV one channel up or down. If in live TV you push the right arrow, then go back in time to a previous show, then push the up or down arrow and OK, it changes the channel to the top or bottom of the category as before. Almost there.

  13. I’ve found a strange glitch in the live TV catch up. When in catch up, if you press the up button, the pop up asks if you want to exit to live TV. If you press OK it changes the channel to the second channel in the category you are in (channel 2). If you follow the same procedure and press the down arrow, then OK, it changes the channel to the last one in the category. To exit to live TV without changing channels I enter the channel number that’s in catch up and it returns to live tv. Tried this in different catagories, on both players, and on two boxes with the same results.
  14. Thanks nbs. I received this file from allaboutbuzz a few weeks ago, and it fixed all the recording issues I was having, however it did not fix the wake from suspend. That requires a firmware update which is pending. Cheers.

  16. I had an X5, didn't do it for me so I returned it; but not before becoming familiar with it. As for the wake from suspend issue it was not restricted to the x5, as this feature worked on my 4500's with the beta5 version prior to the .702 update. Have a look at my post under XRS4500, Buzztv5 beta dated April 26.
  17. Will the Wake to Record from Suspend and Shutdown for Scheduled Recordings find it's way back into the Buzztv 5 beta?
  18. It is formatted as a removable drive, the box won't back up to internal. So far I have formatted on windows 10 (FAT 32), and on the box itself as removable storage. Backup file is readable on the box that created it, but not on the other. Tried both boxes, same result.
  19. Unfortunately formatting the microSD card as external memory on the box itself didn't work. Unless I'm missing a step, it appears that the backup and restore is only good for an individual box. That won't be beneficial if you were to buy a new box and try to transfer your files and settings.

  21. I've tried more than once. I'm backing up to microSD card on first box. When inserted the card into the other box it doesn't see any backup file. I formatted the card on a Windows 10 laptop. Do I need to format it on the box itself?
  22. I am able to use the backup and restore on both of my XRS4500 boxes without any issues. However, I cannot backup one box and then use that backup to transfer the settings the other box! Are these backups machine specific?

    Yes, the BT-400 app is on the X5, Android 11. But on the BuzzTV.com site under products/4500 series/xrs4500, they are showing "new for 2022 the BT-300 smart remote with a TV learning feature", which does appear similar to the X5 remote. That would be running on Android 9, just not sure if the unit would ship with BuzzTV 4, or the final version of BuzzTV 5. I've sent them an inquiry.

    Sorry, I should have asked, is there a possibility that the BT400 app will be incorporated in the next (or Alfa) firmware release for the 4500 series?
