Ross Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Updated the latest firmware about 2 hours ago and now my box will not turn on at all. Anyone have any suggestions? Quote
Ryu Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 do you see red or blue light? do you have power coming into the box? try to remove hdmi cable and put back in again. try different hdmi cable or port if possible. if nothing then last thing I would say try pin reset. Quote
Ross Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Red light on continually. Yes power to box. Unplugged power for a couple of minutes but haven't tried the HDMI cord. Will check it. Quote

Emporium Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Thnx.. Firmware took no problem. However after the reboot, the BT400 would not auto reconnect. Went in, un-paired it, re-paired it, and it works fine now. 1 Quote

BeachBum Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I tried to install the update yesterday but it hung up indicating “Finishing system update…”. I restarted the box with no issues. Today I tried again to install the update and it’s hung up at the same spot after waiting over 30mins. X5 128AI Current fw: 20221011 Quote

BeachBum Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Well, I disconnected the vpn and tried again. It says “Preparing….” for about 30 secs, then says “Finishing…” for 20+ mins still. I’ve removed power for 30 secs and tried again with same result. Quote
Ryu Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) are you connected wireless or wired? if wired then remove ethernet cable and try wireless or if hardwire then reboot your modem and router then try again. if wireless then try to forget your network first, reboot your modem and router then connect again and try again. BeachBum Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Disconnected Ethernet, removed power for 30 secs, rebooted. Connected to WiFi, no vpn, started update d/l again. Hangs up saying “Preparing…” for 20+ mins Quote
BeachBum Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Ok, so the only thing that changed was the “Preparing…” changed to “Finishing…” after about 10 mins. Still hangs on that. Speed check shows 50+ mbps Quote
Ryu Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 (edited) did you reboot modem/router? did you see any option reboot? try to clear cache and try again Edited April 5, 2023 by Ryu Quote
BeachBum Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I have cycled power on all items, no change. By clearing cache, you of course mean disconnect/reconnect power. Yep, like 5x. Quote

BeachBum Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 That accomplished nothing. I cleared the cache, power cycled and get the same result. Fwiw, the last update couldn’t be done ota either. Quote
