I have approx 180 MPBS household wifi.  My Vistick only shows approx 4-8 MPBS most times..   IS there anything I can do to maximize WiFI

How strong is the WiFi signal on your stick?

 

Are you using 2.4ghz connection or 5ghz for Wifi?

Using your Phone
Have it connected to the same Wifi Connection as the stick.

 

Open the Browser/Chrome on both devices
Go to Fast.com

And compare the speeds of the stick to your phone.
To see how big of a difference there is.

 

 

Also another thing to consider, is to check the Wifi Signal Meter on the stick itself.
In most cases, the slower speeds could be the result of a low signal.

also make sure your are not on single channel. when you do the speed test make sure you are not running any streaming devices and select your isp's server.

that won't get you accurate results
