Lost Original Launcher Screen

Newbie here.

I had to do a hard reset on my XRS4500 and now I don't have that very functional launcher that came with the box originally.

I tried the others in settings, but none are as clean as this one. There is probably something in settings, but I can't find if there is.

to get to settings scroll to the right and hilite settings

I don't get that screen when I try the modern setting. I tried all four and ran into all kinds of problems when I tried the Media ones.

The 4500 Upgraded itself to BuzzTV 5 due to the reset.

There are 4 launchers "skins" available, you can choose one of the 4.  There is the modern, 2 mdeia ones, and the classic (which is like the old 3000 series).

What was the launcher like before BuzzTV 5? I've tried all 4 in the latest update and none are the one I had before. Is ti possible to go back to the older version? It was black and white and very clean.

you can not downgrade

mine looks like pic above using modern with buzztv 5

just change your bg image

I shall try that if I can figure out how. I have no media files on the box. I assume I should just get a black jpg and use that.

I now have the black background and I think that's as good as its going to get.

I even use black and white for theme in live tv

much easier to read with my cadillacs...lol

maybe someone can reverse engineer it and download the picture of captain america in the back ground and share it here so you can download it and put it back as your wall paper and it  will be as close as u can get to the buzz tv 4 back ground

do it yourself ...it's easy

I posted how ages ago

load an image to a usb stick/sd card or download an image

then in settings click on bg image

I don't subscribe to this site except for private messages

it's just a generic email

I've seen on many sites that only staff have the option marking it as solved so they might be mistaken
