Wendy Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I had the 4500 but the picture is not best quality. Grainy. Tv is 4K. Is there a setting I can’t find? Quote
Ryu Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 are you talking about quality from iptv server? or youtube, Netflix....etc? if you talking about server then it depends on server. some have bad quality, some good and some great. have you tried playing youtube, Netflix .....etc and compare? Wendy Posted November 17, 2022 Author Posted November 17, 2022 I talking regular tv channels such as abc nbc cbs… all of the channels are not great video quality. Quote
Ryu Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 thats from server not buzztv. so whatever you get from server that is what you see Quote
nbs. Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) What was the quality on YouTube? The 4500 has an excellent pic Edited November 17, 2022 by nbs. Quote
Emporium Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 There are many factors that come into play here. You say you are using a 4K TV. What is the resolution you have set on your 4500 ? Are your streams true 4K ? If not, you are leaving it up to the box, or even your TV to do the upscaling. Native 4K should be crisp and nice. Any upscaling involved, will vary, since every device uses different upscaling algorithms. Like others have recommended, try Youtube, or if your service provider has a 4K VOD section, try to stream a few of those. Regular TV stations are often not from a 4k source, regardless if the service provider says 4k. Quote
Wendy Posted November 21, 2022 Author Posted November 21, 2022 Thanks for your responses....Netflix, Prime, Apple and Disney, Youtube are all very clear GREAT video quality but the shows on buzz box are not sharp...a bit grainy. I thought it was 720 quality but can not find a place in settings to verify. 1080 would be much better. The only change I can find is size of screen. Quote
nbs. Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 If youtube ,netflix, prime etc all look good on the buzz the picture quality issue on live TV is with your service not the buzz Quote
Wendy Posted November 21, 2022 Author Posted November 21, 2022 But the live tv through the antenna is also exceptionally clear and crisp. Only the shows through the box are not HD quality. Quote

Wendy Posted November 21, 2022 Author Posted November 21, 2022 That’s my point.. I don’t have a tv provider.. I get all my channels through this buzz box. Quote
Ryu Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 if you dont pay for tv service then that is what get. whatever app you using to get show/channels you need to contact them. Quote

Emporium Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Picture from channels on Antenna are clear: So the TV is not an issue. Netflix, Prime, Apple and Disney, Youtube are all very clear: So the box is not an issue Only thing left is the Source/Server that you are using for your TV channels that are the source if the issue. So If you are using an IPTV provider, then it is time to find someone new to get your service from since they are probably over compressing the streams and image quality is suffering beyond what you want. If you are using some free app (Redbox, LiveNetTV, or even Plex) to get your TV channels, then there is not much you can do, since you are the mercy of their stream sources. Many of the true free IPTV lists that are floating around on github, etc.. are far from 1080p. Many are even 480p (some even 360p). You try to scale 360p, 480p, 420p or even 1080p to 4k, you will NOT get anything SUPER clear. 1 Quote
