Buzz 5 Changes:

 - Info bar is not visible anymore when single epg is open
- Updated app logo/banner
- Added a configuration option to show/hide adult channels in favs
- Menu button now opens Main menu when watching a movie or an episode
- Increased Font Sizes in TV Seasons + Episodes + Movie Info Screens.
- Removed colored highlight tint from Seasons + Episodes
- Updated XC Login API to fix an internal crash while loading some tv series seasons
- Removed pop up keyboard for adult password. 
- Removed pop up keyboard from Server settings after server url on MAC + Password on XC Login.
- Added Color buttons to Main Menu Slide out for easier navigation.
- PVR + PVR Options + Audio/CC Menus now have continuous scrolling.
- Server Messages now appear until the user clears them.
- Updated Default Player (libvlc) to newest version
- Added date/time to the vod info bar menu in the top right corner. 
- Updated date/time widget in vod to be the same in all vod menus
- Added ff/rew status bar to vod when using the remote.

- Updated TMDB API for tv series
- Added Group channel numbering feature for Live TV Categories in the configuration menu. 
- Added actor search feature for VOD + TV Series. You can search Actors movies + TV Shows available on your server 
- Added actor search feature to VOD Info page, you can click on the actors photo to search the movies that are available on the server. 
- Added Radio API Feature to MAC Servers
- All icons on Modern Home Screen have been updated and resized.
- Updated VOD icon on home screen and slide out menu
- Increased max retries if the stream cannot load stream due to buffering.
- Updated TV series API to fix a few minor issues on some servers

- Updated Server API to support uncommon formatted movie release dates
- Added support for Catch-Up on Live TV with no EPG
- Added Search to Simple View channel list, above All Channels category

- Added a Force USB TS feature to PVR options. To allow USB timeshift be used on Catch-up channels instead of Cloud Timeshift.

- Fixed an internal crash when trying to see movie info if the info was first loaded in apps released around 1 month ago and older. You still could see the info, just some data would be missing
- Fixed a non-fatal crash when loading some XML EPG files
- Fixed a crash when loading some very big m3u files + probably slightly reduced loading time for such files
- Fixed  a non-fatal crash when removing vod/catch up downloads if download failed
- Fixed sorting didn't work in m3u episodes
- Fixed the app would show negative dates for some seasons and episodes if their release date was not available on server. That mostly happened on m3u

Had a few issues with the vod/ series. Also when going from one server to another, it kept on crashing. I eventually removed both sub's from the box and reinstated them, hopefully it's okay.

I switched between 3 servers since update using XC API option and no crashed issues at all.

I'm hoping, re-instating the XC api logins, has resolved the issue. The VOD & series takes ages to load, whereas before hand it was a matter of seconds. Switching between servers, the 'buzz app has stopped working' box would come up, and then a black screen. Fingers crossed, it'll resolve.

that could be servers related issues. Before even update I had few servers would take forever to load while others were quick. had few crashed but then I got rid of those servers and never had that issue. one of the server would take forever but I just tried 4 days ago after long time and it started to work fast now. so I believe its more server related but you never know.

Depending on which version # you came from before
There are a ton of fixes + improvements + added features to 20220923 and 5.0.777 Updates.

For example
on XC Login, now we download the channels + epg + vod + tv series when you're connecting to the server
So it should be available right away on all of the menus
Only thing that may take some time to load would be VOD/TV Series if the server you're using offers like 30k+ shows/movies.

You have been on Weekly Beta list for the Buzz 5 app since January

So you would have already been running 5.0.777 before this Firmware update was even released.

So not sure how yesterdays Firmware update would suddenly cause these server issues.
Version 5.0.777 was sent to all Beta users on Monday, so did it work for you Mon and Tues and now Wed it doesn't?

It started happening after the update, when either searching in the vod section, or moving from one server to the other. It is an older box, about 3 years old now.

Anyone's bluetooth keep crashing after the update? Tried restarting a few times but still happening.

I have 2x 4900 boxes.  On my older box box, I "sometimes" (not too often) get a message that Bluetooth has stopped.  I press the return key a few times, it goes away and everything works fine after that (including the Bluetooth - for the remote at least).   On my other box (which is newer), I never get that message.   I suspect that over the numerous updates (including Betas) something has gotten latched somewhere.  I've been meaning to do a full reset on that box, but have not done so yet.  Changing primary servers in a few weeks on that box, so I may use that as an opportunity to start clean.  But it happens so rarely (and I know my box is overdue for a reset), that I have completely ignored it.

One thing that did help however is to go into the Network settings and cycle the Wifi on, wait 5 seconds ,and then cycle it back on.   When I do that, I go for weeks before seeing the message again.

Not sure why that posted twice, my apologies. 

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep an eye on it and try those things. I'm not use wifi for mine so not sure if that will help but thank you again for the suggestions.

I don't use Wifi either.  Mine are all hardwired.  But I believe it is the same network chip internally that handles the WiFi and BT. 

I could be wrong, however

Make sure both Wifi and Bluetooth are turned on in Settings

The error should go away afterwards.
