Hi, I just got the XR4500 BuzzTv box and my remote isn't able to shut the STB off. My remote doesn't shut off the STB when pressing the green STB button on the remote. When I press the green stb button the light on the remote doesn't turn on. Would appreciate your help.

Hi, I contacted BuzzTV about my remote issue and I got this retarded answer from them: this is most likely the issue the red button should turn the tv off and if you have cec enabled and a newer tv the tv will send the cec code to the STB to turn off or on. REALLY? I need a replacement dammit.

did you turn cec off?

they are trying to help you and thats not how you reply.

it does have to do with your tv because your tv is not turning off with remote but without trying everything you can not say its remote thats broken. in the end it might be remote but without trying everything you can not say its the remote. 🙂

Hi, I appreciate all the help but i'm getting all the wrong answers back. On the BuzzTV remote the green button is suppose to shut the BuzzTV box on and off.  My remote doesn't do that. It doesn't do anything when I press the green button . So the green button is obviously broken. Instead I get replies that my tv is the issue.  I connected the BuzzTV box to 3 different tv's and the green button still doesn't do anything.  So this is why I am getting agitated. I definitely need the broken or defective remote replaced. My TV's is NOT the issue of the BuzzTV remote not working.

Did you mention the light not working on the remote when you push the button ? It's easy to misread an email and I'm sure they get many with the cec wrong
