hey Guys
i’m having a problem recording with my buzz box v5
is there a step by step on how to record programs to it?
i’m hit and miss, some of my questions are
do you have to leave the box on? and on the channel you want to record?
can you record to a usb or sd card?
can you use sd card and/or usb to record channels and also use the same card or usb to timeshift?
do i have to leave it on the iptv provider to record or can i watch one of the two i have and will it record on the the one i’m not watching at the moment?
what’s the best place to store timeshift data?
i know…lol alot of questions and i’m testing when i have time but it’s warm outside so the fam is demanding of my time right now
thx and Troy is the freakin man!!

one service allows 2 the other allows 4 but it seems like if i record a show while box and reciever are on and tuned to the channel i want to record? it works but that doesn't seem right to me

shouldn't i be able to put the box to sleep and the reciver off and still have it record?

anyone else recording iptv using the buzz app have sucess?

how are you doing it?

thx

i did record two shows and watch while watching one channel

One of the recordings failed but one worked

You can hit the red button to start recording immediately I use one button record

you can record from guide and either schedule it Always good to add a few minutes

Then you can schedulea recording from menu etc

I figured out why it failed

you need more than 2 connections

with 2 connections you use both while recording the channel you're watching

just tried a server with 4 connections and can do 2 recordings at same time

it still causes freezing but recordings are flawless

i have 3 connections when that failed I will be trying again

I had 2 recordings going and watched a different channel

maybe I should push the envelope and add a download at same time 🙃

if it worx I'll see if I can get the log from service

one recording while watching = 2

two recordings while watching one = 3

three recordings while watching one = 4

but I can watch a channel other than the ones recording and it stays at 4

and freezing has improved greatly

one button record is off

By , say , four connections, do you mean the same playlist from a supplier that

allows multiple connections?

YES, that is exactly what he is referring to.

Some suppliers offer multiple connections (2, 3,  4 or more).  This will allow you to do multiple recording in parallel.  Just keep in mind that each recording is a fork and creates another connection to the server.  So watching live TV is one connection and then every simultaneous recording (even if it is the same channel you are watching) is another connection.

You sure about that ?

Even in your post above you stated "with 2 connections you use both while recording the channel you're watching" and this is what I recall when running a few tests back then.
