Hardware av1 decoder support

Hello! I’m interested in getting the p6 box and was checking if it has support for av1. I couldn’t find anything conclusive and was hoping to get confirmation in here. 

If the box doesn’t support av1 is this something that the devs could add in the future?

its rockchip not amlogic so you won't see that here but I maybe wrong.

btw, they both offer AV1 support but rock chip has better open source support.

But the CPU has so much power that I am pretty sure even if there is no h/w support, it can easily decode it in software if needed.
