Same here.  Was trying manual update and it would prompt it was there, confirm, reboot and still nothing.

Left it for a few hours as I went to my physio and came back, and no prompt.  Checked manual update, and now it said it had nothing available (that was a change).  Rebooted and when it came up within 10 second, it popped up for the update and this time it worked fine.  So guess it download in the background when it was on for a few hours, and on the subsequent reboot it detected the download and prompted to do the update.

Like DU said, themes are a nice touch.

I ended up performing a factory reset on mine to get the update to install. Glad it wasn't just me having this issue

I did that a couple of updates ago

takes minutes to reload backup and vpn 👌

Same here.  Did a backup earlier today again, just in case I had to reset 🙂   Beauty of a simple box with a simple backup mechanism.

still nothing for me. have done everything except reset.

If you try to manually check for an update, does it say there is one and doesn't update, or does it say no update available ?

If it says no update available, I find the following works the last few times:  Reboot, check for update, then got to main screen, press play/pause to stop the video from streaming, and then leave it on home page without doing anything for 2 or 3 hours.  Then after 3 hours, check for update, it will say nothing available, then power off, and then power back on..  Then a few second later it popped up.  Anyhow, just saying.

I checked right after allaboutbuzz posted this thread and it said update available but will say reboot without installing. so I tried to reboot and nothing changed. it said update available from Home Screen, setting as well as from buzztv app but won't install. so yes I tried as you mentioned as well as left ON for hours too, turned off for some time too and restart and nothing. now it says no update available and still has not update. I will leave it on until Friday and see if any change otherwise factory reset is only option. 🙂

The fact that it now says no update is a good sign.  For me it was cycling with the failed update over and over.. And then when it finally said no update, is when I left it 2-3 hours more, checked one more time, and then rebooted and it prompted like normal.

So checking update manually has a bug on install

So basically need to wait for the update to appear on the Home Screen until we fix it on our next update
Or wait 1-2 hours after box boots up to check manually

We are actually working to separate the App and OS updates
Since App Updates are sent more often

This won't require the box to reboot to install, just the app to reboot while the box stays on

We should be done this soon

fortunately next morning it popped and went through fine without factory reset. 🙂
