MCP17 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I used to automatically get my favorites channels list on pressing Guide after turning my tv on. Now it’s always giving me ALL channels and I need to change it to Favorites each time. How to fix this irritant? Quote
nbs. Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Mine always go the last channel I was on If i was in favourites it goes back to favorites How about posting some info? Buzz model? Firmware and software? Edited 11 hours ago by nbs. 1 Quote
MCP17 Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago BuzzTV B5 / Fireware V20241010 / Software ? your power options is probably set to Live TV which would go to your last channel. What I mean is after turning my tv on, no matter where it goes first, when I click on Guide, I get all channels. I want to see only My Favorites. Quote
Emporium Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Software you can see when you are in LiveTV and press menu, it should be on bottom of the menu. 5.0.xxx Do you have your box set for shutdown, suspend, or do you use HDMI-CEC to turn on/off with TV ? I personally prefer shutdown. May take an extra minute to boot up, but it is a clean boot each and every time. What nbs says is exactly what I have on all my buzz boxes also. IF I am watching a channel which is in my favorites.. Then I shutdown. Then turn box back on again, it will be on that same channel, and if I hit guide, I will see the guide for favorites. Let's try this as a test. Turn on TV. Turn on the B5. Go to a channel in your favorites. Press CH+ a d few times to go through some of your channels which are in your favorites. Check if Guide brings up favorites. If so, select a channel and change to a channel. OK, not you know that guide is on your favorites, and CH+/CH- cycles through your favorites. Now, hit the power button on the B5 box alone to turn it off (leave the TV on) . Once it is off, go ahead and power it back on. Do you see the buzz animated logo, or does it power up immediately ? OK, go into LiveTV. Then hit the Guide button (or technically you can just hit the guide button from the home screen). Are you on favorites or all ? I tried it on 3 of my boxes and I am always on favorites (since that was the last group I was in). 1 1 Quote

Emporium Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago What do you mean your power options are set to LiveTV ? I don't get it. BTW: What type of TV do you have ? The Remote of some 3rd tier TVs, uses the same IR codes as the Buzz (example: VIZIO TVs). So some users with VIZIO TVs, when they use their remote on their TVs, it actually changes the Channels on the buzz box even if the input is not set to the buzztv So when they switch to the buzztv, the box is at some random channel. 1 Quote

Power options under BuzzTV Utilities is set to Live TV (full screen), so when turning tv back on, it displays my last watched channel. I have a recent LG and an old one. 1 Quote
