What's A Good External Video Player to install?

What is a good external video player to install for VOD & TV Series?   On TV Series, same show seasons, some season series play & some same show seasons do not play. Tried Primary & Backup players, (VLC).

I have the same issue. I have tried hbplayer, nvplayer, vlc, mxplayer. Also updated codec. Some of the movies and episodes don’t work.

You've tried all those players and you think it's a buzz issue?

External players are exactly that.. EXTERNAL.  They basically give the user the option to use something OTHER than the buzztv internal players.  Perfect way of confirming if something is a buzztv software issue, or a provider issue.  Pretty OBVIOUS what the issue is here.

1 external player not playing well, sure, it happens.  All of them ?

So what I have noticed is that those vods that don’t work with internal and backup player. Would play the sound only through vlc player and no picture. I think this is codec issue.

Problem is that many of these external apps, do not use the default box codecs but have their own codec compiled internally to the app (hence why the option was added).  So my suspicion is that the vods in question are encoded in some bizarre format that most players/codecs do not like.

I have 0 issues with the VOD and TV Series that are on the 2 servers I use.  If buzztv 5 had an issue, I would have been flooded with calls, since most of my customers have purchased The Classic (which I had and still do) constantly recommend to them, and it runs the same buzztv software.

Plus if you read the posts at your service site there are a lot of issues going on
