Dave J Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I had to boot to recovery on my Classic (fw 20240927, BuzzTV 5.0.940), and the screen is split in half (aspect is way off). Thought I read about this somewhere but I can't find any info. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Quote
Ryu Posted November 26 Posted November 26 not sure if I read correct use tv remote control to adjust picture size and then use recovery options to do whatever you want to do. Quote
Dave J Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 A soft reset will wipe the box to factory condition, but it doesn't involve the Android recovery like a hard reset would. That's where I found this problem. I haven't tried changing the aspect ratio / screen size in the BuzzTV app, as I would assume that the Android recovery screen video output would be different from the app. Never experienced this on my 4500's, so I'm curious why this has happened. Emporium Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Do a soft reset first like nbs suggested and then you can do a hard reset if you want I've hard reset it many times, and never had an issue. But then again, my classic is connected to a computer monitor. Quote
Dave J Posted Monday at 09:21 PM Author Posted Monday at 09:21 PM Forgot to update this, Ryu was correct in that you need to adjust the resolution down on the box before doing a hard reset in order for the recovery screen size to be correct. This is different from my old 4500's on Android 9, but no big deal. Thanks everyone. 1 Quote
nbs. Posted Tuesday at 01:44 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:44 AM I've done a hard reset many times without adjusting resolution. Most times users don't have access to settings before doing hard reset 3 Quote
