I had to boot to recovery on my Classic (fw 20240927, BuzzTV 5.0.940), and the screen is split in half (aspect is way off). Thought I read about this somewhere but I can't find any info. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

not sure if I read correct use tv remote control to adjust picture size and then use recovery options to do whatever you want to do.

A soft reset will wipe the box to factory condition, but it doesn't involve the Android recovery like a hard reset would. That's where I found this problem. I haven't tried changing the aspect ratio / screen size in the BuzzTV app, as I would assume that the Android recovery screen video output would be different from the app. Never experienced this on my 4500's, so I'm curious why this has happened.

Do a soft reset first like nbs suggested and then you can do a hard reset if you want 🙂

I've hard reset it many times, and never had an issue.  But then again, my classic is connected to a computer monitor.

Forgot to update this, Ryu was correct in that you need to adjust the resolution down on the box before doing a hard reset in order for the recovery screen size to be correct. This is different from my old 4500's on Android 9, but no big deal. Thanks everyone.

Most times users don't have access to settings before doing hard reset

when I reset mine recovery screen was smaller but was manageable

once it rebooted it was fine since default resolution is auto
