Emporium Posted August 22 Posted August 22 And is it ALL channels, or just some specific channels ? Are you sure it is not the providers stream the issue ? 1 Quote
Emporium Posted August 22 Posted August 22 One channel alone is probably a problem with your providers source. Probably not the box. Even on my provider, sometimes the french channels like LCN and TVA go out of sync, and I know it is not the box, because if I go onto the TVA website, even the online stream on their web site is out of sync at the same time I happens. You can try sending a message to your provider and see if they can "reset" the channel, but if the issue is at source, there is not much they can do, unless they have another source to switch to. 3 Quote
Poopa Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Hello! I am experiencing the same out of sync voices on at least 3 live channels. The same 3 channels do not have the problem while on my independent TV antenna but the quality is not very reliable as it is old enough to vote. My question is, are there some audio adjustments or video adjustments to sync the system. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Quote

Emporium Posted October 19 Posted October 19 And are you using a bluetooth soundbar or something ? Or direct HDMI to TV and Audio on TV as encoded on HDMI ? I've had issues with some cheaper/older bluetooth devices, but work perfectly well on better devices. If it is only a few channels, Have you tried a different service ? Could be your service having issue with those channels ? 1 Quote

HDMI direct box to TV (newish LG 55"UHD) Buzz box hard wired to internet. I only know of one service and have been using it for years. One of the live stations is the same as the original poster ( CTV Ottawa). On another thought my old Buzz box (XPL2000) I did not have this syncing problem... using the same provider. Thanks everyone! 1 Quote
Emporium Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Is you xpl2000 connected to another TV ? Try swapping the TVs they are connected to. Just want to see if it is the TV or something else at fault. Sound strange, but I used to have an LG TV in my bedroom and it was a pain in the butt for audio. It had adjustments on the TV to control the HDMI audio delay, but it was annoying, because there was no setting which would help for all channels. Funny, I switched it out for a 27" computer monitor, with a basic soundbar connected to the HMDI Audio out that is integrated on the monitor, and it has been solid. And when DU tells you to switch video player, it is part of the X5 options, under Menu->settings->configuration and you have video player selection for LiveTV and another for VOD/TV Series. For my service I use Primary for LiveTV and Secondary or external for VOD/TV Series. For external I have MX Player, VLC and HB Player installed and it is nice to have the option for some oddly encoded mp4/mkv files. 1 1 Quote

So after much seek and learn this is where I stand on my sync problem. from a live tv channel select- main menu-scroll down to settings-select configuration- now select- live tv and select primary and then backspace (arrow back) now select- vod+tv series and select backup then backspace now select- tunneled playback- select on- then press home button and go from there for your viewing desire. I switched tv`s and even went to my neighbors house and still had the lag so I spent time exploring and found that if you select settings from the main screen (home) you do not find the other settings. Special thanks for the assistance as it kind of set me in the right direction. 1 Quote
Emporium Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Keep in mind, as listed in the description, that tunneled playback is NOT supported by all streams. So if you experience other playback issues, you may need to turn it off. 1 Quote
