T28 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 I have a question about the pointer (mouse mode) on the BT-500 remote. pushing the pointer brings up the curser….after 15 secs of no activity the pointer goes away. pushing the pointer button again while pointer is on screen resets the 15 sec timeout. 15 seconds (while awaiting the next button push) seems like an eternity. is there a way (button push?) to immediately exit pointer mode? Thanks Quote
nbs. Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Anytime I've pushed the mouse button when it's active it's shuts it off 2 Quote
dishuser Posted August 12 Posted August 12 just push ok or any other button if you already pushed it twice and it remains 1 Quote
T28 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Not that I am disputing anything you said but are you guys going from memory or did you just check? Absolutely doesn’t disappear when I push it again… and the occasional times it seems to disappear, it reappears as soon as another button is pressed. really frustrating…..especially if user error and I am actually doing something wrong… Quote
T28 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 current Bt500 software is V06 and P6 software/firmware is V20250515. Quote

Emporium Posted August 12 Posted August 12 My Remote firmware is V07 which will be released with the soon to be released P6 update. However I just checked and the functionality is there.. But it my be a little non-obvious, since the pointer remains on the screen initially. If I press pointer key on the remote, the pointer/cursor comes onscreen and I can control it with the dpad to move it around. IF I press the pointer key again, the pointer/cursor does NOT go away on screen, but as soon as I press the dpad in either direction, the pointer/cursor goes away and the dpad controls the usual way again. dishuser Posted August 12 Posted August 12 that's what I posted earlier press any button to make it disappear 2 Quote
