  1. I just purchased and set up a new X5. I have 2 servers loaded. I use the MAC address format. One of the servers loaded and worked with absolutely no problem at all. However the second server "Crystal" will not connect. The message that I get is Cannot Load Portal: Cannot connect to server due to a connection error. I used to get this message with my XRS4500 with the same server every time there was an update for the Buzz. I had to contact the server people to refresh the line or whatever they did. even with that it would not work sometimes. I have spent the afternoon dealing with the server support staff. Nothing they have tried has solved the issue. Any suggestions other than find another server.
  2. Thank you all. I will do what has been recommended here
  3. I have both and XRS4500 and a special edition X5 AX. Both units boot through the buzz 5 start up screen to the page where I have to select live tv. They run through the start up screens and are very slow. Is there any way to set the units up so they boot directly to the previous channel that I was watching when I turned the units off? My old Mag 254 always booted directly to the program and was almost instantly on.
  4. I have 2 subs. One I have no problem with. However the second always goes down when there is one of the updates. I have tried removing the one server that always goes down and reinstalling it. That does not help. When it goes down I have worked with the provider staff and tried XC API, M3U and alternative MAC server log ins. Nothing helps. We keep plugging away at it until they finally get me up and running again.

  6. Every time there is one of the minor automatic updates I lose the connection to one of my servers. The message that I get is cannot load portal. It takes me days to try to get the server back up and running. In December it took me a month. What a pain. Is there anything that I can do at my end?
  7. The last two or three in the past week and a half.
  8. I am having the same problem. Each time there is an update my buzz will not load my sub. I get cannot load portal: forbidden.
  9. I do know how to do a hard reset. However I am trying to avoid having to setup the box again.
  10. Oops. I did not do a hard reset. I did a reboot.
  11. Everything was working perfectly before the update now: The remote is very slow to respond. The unit is difficult to turn off. When I turn the unit on it reboots back through Buzz flash screen to the home screen every time.
  12. Ever since the update my Buzz XRS4500 will not turn off. I have unpaired and repaired the remote however the searching for accessories just keeps searching it never turns off.
  13. Thanks for the advice. I tried the suggestion but it did not work for me either. Hopefully there will be a fix with a new firmware update.
  14. I have a new XRS4500. I have been trying to set the screen resolution to auto switch to best resolution. When I am in advanced settings-Display-screen resolution and I try to set the switch to auto the screen of the XRS goes blank and I have to turn the unit off and back on to get the picture back. When I check to see if the resolution is set to auto it is not. How do I do this?
