Actually 1 of them updated the RC control software about 5 times in a row and each time you would reboot it to complete the update it will update again .

Finally I gave up and pair it under settings by putting the remote in pair mode

I don't understand what that has to do with pmg allaboutbuzz? If you want the issue fixed you need the update

It happened on my last batch of 4500s

Pm allaboutbuzz with your mac addy He can send you an update to fix the issue

Hit the menu button and change setting to one button pvr Now you just have to hit red button and recording should start 

Also go to settings storage and post what's there

Also post what version you have

are you leaving box on? changing channels?

That's the date of the version not the version

I have no issues with epg on 4 services on my 4900

The epg comes from the server Sometimes if epg isnt working properly you can clear epg

There is also fast epg on menu config

Could be a custom box like the 4200. Allaboutbuzz will know

youtube is embedded in the firmware so you cant uninstall it

I just tried search on my 4000  and it works

If you go to buzztv utilities, home screen rows you can turn on live tv, vod,and tv series favs 

I doubt anyone is going to be able to help you why you have a weather icon on the modern home screen.

If you want weather in fahrenheit change home screens 

Have you turned on your home screen rows in utilities?

PS  If the weather icon bothers you you can probably get rid of it by resetting your box(no guarantee though)
