Just to clear this up, BuzzTV G-Series is a certified Google TV device, so the platform and firmware update process is different from our regular Android boxes. There are multiple parties involved in this ecosystem, including the platform manufacturer and Google’s certification and approval process. Because of that, we cannot freely modify platform firmware the same way we can on our AOSP models. Platform-level changes must go through the proper approval, testing, and certification path. So this is not as simple as saying it is only “SEI firmware” or only “Google firmware.” That oversimplifies how a certified Google TV device works. From the customer side, the important point is simple: system updates follow the certified platform update path, while the BuzzTV 6 app is updated separately through the Google Play Store. From our side, we test, collect feedback, escalate issues through the proper channels, and work to get improvements delivered properly.

What you are describing is an oversimplification of how a certified Google TV device works. This is not a typical AOSP box where one party can freely control and modify the firmware and update path.

Do you have tunneled playback or RTS turned on in the configuration menu? And Backup Player is libvlc, so it going back to the home screen means the player is crashing on that stream. And the stream format feature, is just there to show what the server offers Its default to Auto Most servers only offer TS or HLS Auto plays HLS first and if that doesn't work it uses TS We can't add more, as every provider offers it themselves, and it doesn't work the way you think it does Some servers offer RTMP, but its rare.

Correction - the info above is for AUDIO formats For video, it's Settings--Device Preferences--Display Preferences--Display & Sound, and I have HDR and Resolution set to AUTO. My box is plugged directly into my TV so by choosing Auto the Buzz is handing off the video formatting for the source to my TV to decode.

These steps resolved the issue Go into Android Settings Go to Device Preferences Go to Display and Sound Go to Advanced sound settings Go to Select Formats I think you have it set to none:never use surround sound Switch it to None And it should fix Primar player with the unknown stream error issue We figured this out via PM

Go into the bluetooth menu and unpair the remote completely from the box. Then (using IR) go into the the remote screen and pair new remote again and re-pair the remote. Factory resetting the remote alone is not enough. It needs to be unpaired from the box, for the box to "forget" it.

Disney+ released an update 4th, 14th and 18th We're currently running the 14th update version. We update Disney+ in the background via OTA. This doesn't require firmware updates, so that didn't cause it. Its just a coincidence I am not sure why Disney is so strict on having the latest updates just to use it. We will send the newest 18th version soon and it will update to all active boxes within 48-72 hours.

Edit scheduled recordings was fixed in the most recent update sent today. We can't do thumbnails when ffwd/rew as the servers our apps compatible with don't support it like Netflix or Disney In order to support it, the streams have to be encoded this way. We have no problem adding support for it though if it becomes available And its impossible for a company like ours to get a model certified by Netflix I have personally sat in on meetings with Netflix and they want millions of boxes sold etc. They had a saying in the meeting, its not what Netflix can do for you, its what your company can do for Netflix with growing their subscriber base.
