While watching HBO signature East in English TV will all of a sudden switch to HBO signature in Spanish. Not the same movie.

Some services have backup streams, in case the primary stream goes down.

One of my services for example, when watching the cooking channel Canada sometimes will switch to cooking channel USA.  This is often due to a glitch in the main stream, so it switches to the backup stream.  This has nothing to do with the box itself (it's just showing you the stream), but rather the server and streams of the service you are subscribed to.
